What time do you get off Harry? Brandon can usually only come on Mondays.
6PM. I'd get there around 7:30, which isn't too late, I suppose. I'd be traveling pretty much as long as I'd be playing, though.
Oh. Well I'll be at A&C on Wednesday also if that would be better (I think Jermaine may be able to come in on that day). As long as you can get at least 2-3 hours of solid offline gameplay, that's not bad.

GGs to Hunter, Harry and Brandon (@Puño de Leyenda ) this evening! Very fun fights. I didn't actually get to play Brandon tonight (since I can't play Kokopuffs properly) but the Kokoro mirrors I saw were amazing LOL. If Monday is good for everyone next week, let's do it again!! I'll still come in on Wednesday this week (and am looking to get back into SCV, Nightmare is too damn fun!!! xD).

Venue: A&C World (702a Spadina Ave. Toronto, near Bloor and Spadina)
Doors open at 12PM
Registration starts at 12PM - 2PM (Tournaments will commence once the TD is ready)
Venue Fee: $10
Entry Fee: $5
All games are: Best 3 out of 5 sets (may be 2 out of 3 if there are time constraints)
Double Elimination Format
Recommended Health setting: SMALL health (270 HP)
Note: Dojo stage banned
Time Limit: 60 seconds
Character Lock for Winner only
The tournament will serve as excellent preparation for TORYUKEN 3 later in May. LET'S KICK SOME ASS PEOPLE!!!
Also the turnout for TORYUKEN is looking pretty solid this year for DoA5U!

Alright, Jermaine (ShiningNegro) is going to be at A&C World tomorrow and I'm going to go over DOA5U's gameplay mechanics and metagame with him tomorrow. If anyone would like some help with those elements of 5U or would like to engage in the discussion (or just chill and have some kick ass matches!), feel free to join us. I feel like there must be some hidden tech I don't know about, 'cause no one sidesteps Leifang. She literally has no answers unless someone sidesteps 3P or something. Maybe it's the threat of throws, but she has below average throws and she's so negative after blocked strikes that free cancel throw actually loses against sidestep attacks. Maybe it's the threat of top player Helena mind games. :v ElenaBathory makes really great reads at clutch moments.
I'm actually surprised people don't mash from my block strings. I know I can use parries to keep abare in check, but I almost never do that. People just really like respecting her.
EDIT: By the way, I've been experimenting with guaranteed options versus mixups. What is more threatening to you guys? I tend to do stuff like 3H 9K into 3P/64P/delay 214T more than 3H 9KK 3KP+K nowadays.
