Just free-cancel after the dash.
Am I missing something here?
Just free-cancel after the dash.
If he free cancels after the dash he'll get. It's the main reason I prefer 3-point hold...
I really thought casual and pro settings only changed the camera and hit effects.KoF were you playing on Casual or Pro settings when the game started up? It messes with the buffer system greatly and I would not be surprised at all to learn this was the actual issue. Casual is very broken.

It's been confirmed that it messes with the buffering system... greatly. I can tell you right now that Pro settings will be absolutely enforced at tournaments.
Ohh dang thats lame. What exactly is a buffering system and how is it effected by these settings? It's been confirmed that it messes with the buffering system... greatly. I can tell you right now that Pro settings will be absolutely enforced at tournaments.
Essentially it is putting in one input while another input is on screen. I suppose the best example would be Hayate's raijin throw. If you try to do the circular input you'll pretty much just jump every single time. To avoid this you buffer the circular input during an animation such as his wind dash or a jab etc...Ohh dang thats lame. What exactly is a buffering system and how is it effected by these settings?
Its things like this that worry me. These last minute things that they come up with out of their asses...
First the reduced recovery to holds, now this bullshit.
Why tamper with a system everyone was content with since DOA1?
Are you kidding me? They're kept loosening it up over the years. I wish it was as sctrict as in DOA1. They didn't start really letting it get crazy loose until DOA3, which is one of that game's biggest faults. It was toned down a bit in DOA4 but it was still really bad. Hardly "content" as you put it.Why tamper with a system everyone was content with since DOA1?
We have known about it since E3...Hardly last minute additions that they "came up with out of their asses..." and to be quite honest I'm perfectly fine with it. The buffer system in previous DoA's were jacked up and needed to be adjusted. If you like the old system then make a room with casual buffering. I on the other hand will have pro settings set for any room I create as obviously that will most likely be the tournament standard setting.
I don't like that there's 2 modes for things like this.
There should be one universal mode for everyone.
The old buffer system was fine... I never had issues with inputs...
So does this "pro" setting completely eliminate buffers?
I am just as disappointed about having 2 modes for sidestep as well...
Things like this should be universal regardless of the method, we would get used to it eventually..
I don't like these ... so called changes.

as for the sidestepping..... I still think there should be one universal way, period. Having 2 options for a supposed core mechanic is the dumbest shit ever.
Thats a bit disappointing, it splits the game into those that play casual and those that play pro. and that would have a negative effect on Online play as well.
I don't think the pro/casual settings will have an impact on online play. By that I mean I don't expect it to be a room setting, just like controller configuration isn't a room setting. You set yours to whatever you want and that's how you'll play online no matter what your opponent's settings are.
