The only perk you have with Power Launchers is that you can possibly do more damage than a regular PB, but you can't make a mistake or the whole thing's ruined. Even high level players hardly use it, the potential to foul up the combo and using it in an actual match is just not worth it

Exactly plus can only use meter for one or the other plus a regular juggle does the same as a pl anyway.

I was remembering the TGS 2011 when I saw the first DOA5 trailer… with Hayabuza versus Hayate, and I was wondering who will be shown first, this time, for the very first DOA6 trailer.

In 2011, TN wanted to stop focusing on girls and their boobs… but things have changed since this time! In your opinion, who’s going to be shown in the first DOA6 trailer? Do you think we will see one of the girls? A new character? And what kind of stage do you think we will see?

The main issue is that Power moves don't really do any more damage than a regular one, really.

Power launchers at least are cinematic and trigger environment hazards but there is NO point to power launchers.

That's why I said they need to make it more lenient and easier to pull off. They'll reduce the damage a bit by making the characters more floaty, but allows for combos that can do the most damage that way like it can for Alpha.

I think in the 1st DOA6 trailer we will see Kasumi in it.

I'm not surprised that you would say that. To be fair, seeing as she is the series postergirl, she's guaranteed to get better treatment than any other character and an appearance in a trailer is a given.

Anyhoo, here's some more of what I would like to see:
  • When it comes to characters I hope to see again, I'm worried that Rachel might not make the cut since unlike Mila and Phase 4, she didn't play a role in the story and unlike Momiji, Marie, Honoka, and Nyotengu, she didn't make the cut in DOAX3 so she may be low priority when it comes to the girls. That being said, she does fill the unique role as the only heavyweight girl with a fighting style that emphasizes her strength and acts as a replacement to Nicole so there's a chance she can still make it in. Not only that, having her in the story can finally explain her appearance in Christie's ending in doa4.
  • When it comes to character customization, more alt options for the girls is a given but I personally really hope they bring back Tina's brown hair. Maybe if Rachel does come back, they can give her her assassin style from sigma just to further make the connection to Christie.
  • When it comes to returning characters, new/returning moves is always welcome. I'm kinda hoping Mila incorporates more moves derived from the Armstrong's just to show her connection to them.
  • I can imagine Donovan finally becoming playable with Genra's moves since Genra is the only boss that hasn't either come back or got a replacement. The fact that Donovan has his mask makes this very likely.
  • I've noticed that Honoka doesn't have any moves copied from any character introduced in 5, the obvious explanation being that she hasn't been able to copy their moves since she never saw them before, I fully expect this won't be the case for 6.
  • I've said before that I think Irene is a character I expect to become playable in the future. She has played a role in the story already and while she does keep getting captured, we know that she does have fight experience. Better her than miss monday at least...
  • Gameplay wise, I hope they bring back some environmental hazards from 4 like slope throws, high obstacles (the ones you have to jump over) and moving danger zones like cars and wild animals to keep things interesting (those were the only gameplay changes added to 4 that I really liked).
  • More stage remakes would be nice as well; I personally wanna see the koku ann just for the snowman and one of the disco stages for the character theme remixes.
  • No more paid DLC characters; they already said that they felt that paying for new characters is unfair but did it anyways and came across as hypocrites as a result (i get that KT likely forced them to make new characters paid DLC but it doesn't help that they did so anyway). If they're going to add extra characters, release them for free and charge for their costumes or just add them in a rerelease (it's not like they don't plan to do a rerelease anyways).

On mila using Armstrong moves...she has falcon arrow, but I think that's enough. She's not actually a wrestler like they are.

Well she also has the Bass Kick. But she also has a bunch of moves from Leon (mount, leaping overhead, etc). But I don't think she needs any moves from Tina.

On Rachel, I hope they give her a new move set because like I said she can't take advantage if Nicole's move set due to both the lack of reach (nowhere near Nicole's height and limb length) and how nerfed the moveset is (missing the last hits of the strings etc). So other than her wall throw she lacks any real power.

Also her in Christies ending wasn't actually Rachel just a joke at how Rachel looks like a hooker lol.

Agree with the rest though

Or ghetto ass anything really. I could do without the grunge splatter menus and awful amateur rap.

But yeah I'm tired of "disconnected from lobby" out of nowhere.

DOA6's main theme leaked:

Uh Uh Yeah!

Japanese seem to have a fascination with really bad rap in their games...

Seriously its like do they not understand how much that kills the hype?!

They need to take some cues from action games like mgr, dmc etc, and actually play FIGHT MUSIC. (The doa1234 soundtracks on point but this is about anything new that TN creates). Even most other fighters get the music right (looks to gg, mvc3, and bb)

And awful lounge rap shouldn't be in the intro or credits either. Aerosmith used to hype me up but failing that any kind of rock hypes the fuck out of a game. For example

But even if they INSIST on trying to go with rap, at least go with the kind that actually works, not nonsensical mumbling with no rhythm like we go with 5. If they go with rap, go with rap like Disturbed, Saliva, or Limp Bizkit. Get the adrenaline going, yaknow?

Its like out of all the countless styles of music, they pick the ONE kind of rap that removes all hype and energy (though street fighter 3rd strike did the same).

The problem is the same thing with modern rap in general.

Without actual rhythm and melody, its just fucking TALKING, and even then its usually nasally or monotone.

Make Hayate able to either use Karate or Tenjinmon during the match (with a special mechanic). Hayate alone isn't interesting and Ein isn't prioritized enough by himself. Or just merge the two fighting styles (use some of Ein's holds as expert holds for Hayate, and give some extra throws to Hitomi and various characters like Rig). I don't know. I'm sick of having two ambiguous separate characters.

I hope it's not too disrespectful to Ein's fans.
Well, it is probably.

You're suggesting merging Hayate and Ein completely? I can agree to that if partially to free up some space in the select screen. Hayate does already incorporate some of Ein's moves and I personally felt that it was redundant to add him back in for ultimate. Just give him even more of Ein's moves as well as all his costumes (i always felt ein had much better costumes anyways). Anyone who wants a pure karate fighter can always just use Hitomi, whom I personally was a much more well rounded character...

Hayate uses like 4 maybe 5 Ein moves tops, also"if you want karate just pick hitomi lol" that in itself is quite ignorant since while they share the same fighting style Hitomi plays completely different to Ein and controls different also.

Kasumi and Phase 4 play totally different despite being similar moveset wise is another good example. EIN NEEDS to be on his own with his usual moveset T work that's what makes Ein, EIN.

Didn't Hitomi start off partly as a replacement for Ein? Her earlier move list was very similar and has only gotten larger with each new game. I personally think ein didn't evolve enough when he came back in 5 ultimate to make me chose him over her which is why I find him unnecessary.

Its not about evolution, EIN has a totally different play style to Hitomi that's the important part I'm trying to hammer home, you can't just say pick up Hitomi.

That's like me telling a Tina player to pick up Bass or a Hayabusa player to pick up Momiji.

I honestly don't use either character that much so I haven't really had much time to get a feel for both and see how different they are so you may as well dismiss my comparison of them as the opinion of a filthy casual.

If nothing else, I actually like ein more than Hayate (both in terms of gameplay and characterization) and wouldn't mind them putting in some lame plot twist where he loses his memory again and reverts back to Ein.

That being said, the fact that they play differently doesn't change the fact that Ein wasn't in the base release of 5 while Hitomi and Hayate are. Leon, I know does play differently from bayman and he also didn't make the cut, which implies neither character are high priority. I'm not saying they shouldn't be in, it's just likely that if they will temporarily cut a character, those two will likely be it and come back later as dlc or in a rerelease (again).

I think there should be more Japanese Red Heads in the game.

So more Kasumi clones then, eh?

On a minor gameplay note; I like to occasionally go thru the command training of different characters to get a feel for their moves and overall playstyle, since 5 ultimate, it really bugs me that youre now required to finish all of a character's moves before resetting the move list, I kinda hope they do away with that and revert back to the original method where you can skip any move you cant do and the game doesnt keep forcing you to do the move unless you manually select a different one. This could help newcomers to learning the more difficult character's move and avoid being turned off by being made to finish the whole move set (I personally never bothered to use Raidou, Hayate, and Akira simply because I couldnt finish their command list for example).

I don't mean More Kasumi Clones. I mean new Japanese Female Characters with Red Hair.

First of all, I was joking...

Second of all; do you just post anything you want to see that pops into your head? Seriously, a lot of the things you posted are all really random and (in my opinion) highly unrealistic
