Oh there is some salt. I saw some guy saying that he intentionally (riight) lost streak to get it back and show how good he is.

It's quite annoying actually. It seems like they only play to gain points and not get better an the game.

AFAIK no. The couple of times people rage-quitted on me I didn't gain points for the win and my win didn't show up in the statistics, that was all. It seems the effect depends on how the quitting is done. Only once, though, I could not leave the screen after the "declined a rematch" message (that popped up during character win pose animation). After 10 minutes of frustrated wait I had to close the game myself and I might have lost points for doing that from the match screen, but I had not checked. It was on PS4.

Yep. Can't tell if the winning streak reset happens all the time or just sometimes.
Also can't tell if the points loss is just a bug in the "show details" box in the game's homepage or if you really lose points.
