considering they are going to be struggling just to sell this i highly doubt it

Ya that may be true but I dont think NG3 sold very well and it got a 2nd version. Either way, Team Ninja is one of only developers that get a pass with that shit from me cause they make some of the best ninja games I've ever played. If nothing else, this game looks like pure fun.

Razors Edge was needed to convince the fans that they could still make good NG games. if they didn't make it i probably would cost them most of their fanbase who would assume they went the way of Resident Evil.

it was also in development DURING NG3, it just got ported from the Wii U.

I've always thought they made a side deal w Nintendo and purposely withheld the content on Razor's edge to help sell the Wii-U cause like you said it was in development during NG3. We all got swindled but I'm also glad they released RE on all platforms. Much better game, just a shady way to do business and bad way to treat your fanbase. I dont see them doing the same with Yaiba though I can see them adding story DLC or another playable character.
Any word on how long or how many levels on Yaiba?

On a sidenote, today DarkHorse released for free the second part (of 3) of the digital comic about Yaiba: https://digital.darkhorse.com/search/?q=Yaiba

EDIT: English version of the previous trailer:

Holy OMGWTFBBQ@&%$#! Dat Izuna! O_O

This game is looking better and better...Welp, I guess I'm going in! Guess I'd better finish up Razor's Edge first though...

Ya know, I think Yaiba would be a cool addition to DOA, rather than Kasumi Clone #65588753...The guy is like the Wario to Ryu's Mario.

If you pre-order Yaiba do you get the special edition or is it separate because I can only find the regular one

Hayabusa uses so many of his techniques and abilities from all the past Ninja Gaiden games.

It makes me hopeful that when the actual Ninja Gaiden 4 comes around, we get the most complete and powerful form of playable Ryu we've had yet.

that would be beyond OP black holes, levitation, transfiguration, teleportation, time manipulation, elemental mastery.
Well if the boss NPC Ryu can to it, I don't see why we can't.
Besides, most of those features are limited in some way, such as Ki consumption. The thing I want the most is to have his base at it's peak. Sharper, more responsive movement and control, with efficient and pragmatic strikes.

I'll admit that Izuna was cool but I'm still not sold.

1. the Izuna was missing the Iconic "TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
2. the game still looks pretty mediocre for an NG game in fact with the whole whip thing it looks more like DmC, if I wanna play DmC I'll play DmC thanks.

I'm not excited for the gameplay. I'm excited to watch Hayabusa chew some ninjas up in some rivalry action.

The gameplay was the last saving grace for me, and since that is pretty mediocre and essentialy from a game that I have already played and own that's it.

I'm done, this game will never cater to me so I guess I'll just patiently wait for a REAL NG game with NG4.

One of us is bound to upload all the scenes of Hayabusa kicking ass to Youtube, so we can link you to those and save you the $60 if you like.

No, I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

The way Yaiba was using his chain to swing across chasms and stuff is exactly the same way DmC Dante swings across stuff in DmC. Plus, the whole way the weapons worked looked similar.

Reminds more of Rachet & clank to be honest with the hook shot and grind rails .DmCs was rather clunky/slow

DmC was about chaining combos together while swapping weapons. I think the shoulder blade is the first time I've seen Yaiba do something even remotely similar.

Either way, my point is the game looks ridiculous and nothing like a NG game(which again brings me to the topic of why call it NG?) Hayabusa is the only thing remotely NG about this lol.

The game as a whole just doesn't cater to me, Yaiba is super obnoxious, the "humour" is like it was aimed at 12 year olds that find swearing and boobs comic masterpieces and it seems like there is nothing that really stands out about the gameplay just basic stuff that's been overdone too many times before in other H&S games.
Also mini rant: why do they keep using Baker as Busa's ENG voice? he has the worst voice for Busa imaginable DOA5 is a clear example of why he shouldn't voice a character like Busa. (No hate to Baker himself though, he's a great actor and his role as Snow was awesome and he makes a decent Ocelot but he ruins Hayabusa IMO).

Anyway NG4>>>>Yaiba, I think I'll give this game a miss.
