Oh so mid tier characters need buffs now? Wow...just wow...Ryu was good already.

I wish they'd make a patch so you could have some way of telling which of the, like, 12 moves are gonna come out of Hayabusa's stance...as is, I'm left at his mercy since I have no way to properly defend since I have no way of knowing which move is coming out.
Or if there IS a way of telling which move is coming out, i'd love to know.

I seriously don't understand it......why people keep saying Tina got nerf? And as for Ryu the only that was good about him was his Ongyoin Stance, damage output and his guaud breaks. Ryu suffers greatly for being too sloooow and his Ongyoin throw is fucking useless, characters like Bass, Bayman and Brad wong can interrupt his slow ass. That individual issue of him being so slow KILLED his opportunity to poke his opponents immediately and not to mentioned he only has one holdable attack but you can SE it easily.
So yes, he literally needs to be buff.

Well...I would be an asshole if I said this patch was good, since TN buff Zack, buff Christie, but fucked up Tina.
I've yet to become an asshole just for liking the overall patch. So I dunno where you're getting this idea from.

It's not that hard, since most of them sucks.

Lol...I said that because I'm half and half.
Well I guess he claims we're all assholes LOL
No I don't.

Busa is not that slow. He's about the same speed as Helena and she isn't that slow. He is a grappler character now so he isn't meant to able to dominate based on pokes. An 11 frame jab and a 13 frame mid is pretty standard for a grappler, now he is moving back towards being a striker again whilst retaining the qualities of being a grappler.

The list of buff's he received is huge, more damage, faster moves, more and improved sit down stuns, more safety, more tracking and more combo opportunities.

Fuck why even use a real grappler now. Busa's grabs and counters are just as good but now he is faster with more guard crushes and has more ways to guarantee damage.

Hybrid characters are not meant to excel at everything they do, that's why Lei Fang is so damn strong.

Well to be fair Bass has a vastly superior ground game to 'Busa, better OH's and he's a heavyweight so less juggle damage received.

It's not enough to justify picking Bass over Busa. Bass actually has to work hard to get the initial knockdown and Bass is completely dependant on his ground game. Busa has multiple ways to get in and enough frame advantage when the opponent blocks to do whatever he needs to.

If he is going to be a true hybrid character then his throw and counter game should be nerfed. His throws and counters do huge damage, his striking game is meant to be weaker to balance it out. Honestly people just want DOA4 Busa back.

Don't you mean derpderpbusa?:D A time where doing izuna was so easy a caveman could do it. Bass has an OH when his back is turn...Mr. Ninja doesn't have that. But here's my question....why make him a grappler if they were just going to make him a striker anyways? I mean....this man got the best of both worlds.

I can't really judge the patch, because it hasn't even been released yet. Until then, it's kind of pointless for me to do so.

Don't mind Havik, he just really, really hates ninjas (especially Kasumi, which he has aptly called a Mary Sue in the past).

If you ask me, I'm all for Shredhead getting the buffs he got. Should be a great challenge when I get a confidence buff after this patch.

lol DLing just took a couple minutes really... Anyway some quick impressions:

- Crouching, holy shit the difference is insane. If opponent isn't attacking or grabbing you can still see the old animation for comparison. If they attack the crouch is practically instant.

- Sidestepping. again holy shit. To give an example I'm sidestepping Kokoro's entire PPP string with Lisa. If you play Kokoro you're fucked in 1.03. You can do back to back SS much quicker now.

Only 226mb? That is pretty small for a patch. Most patches I'm familiar with are at least 800mb. Looking at a five minute download at the max in my area, 2 minutes at the earliest.
