We have thought about it in the past, but in actual practice there wasn't much to show on video.

It always just turned into a "best things about DOA3.1" or "Why DOA4 sucks" video. Which wasn't really what we would have had in mind.

I can't figure out why you guys hadn't thought of this before. Hell, I can help do the video encoding. I mean, you guys are all right in my book. Sure, I do think Doa is still kinda garbage, but with a good community, at least you can make a fun fast paced game pretty competitive.

Some of us have. I made a technical video and a combo video back in 06 for new players, VP has practically written books about the game lol, and Sorwah has been an amazing community leader. It's just back then doac was kind of in the area of "I don't want to share strategies."So only a few ppl stood out and helped. Again, politics, which is why most of us are here to change all that.

^^^ Well, people these days don't want to just watch plain combo videos with anime music. They want to hear you say something. They want to know you.

Just start up practice mode > Connect capture device > record in full 1080/720 > either do live or post commentary > stitch up video and audio (I do it the hard way) > encode > become fightan game super star

I think I've derailed the thread enough. I'll stop for now.

You'd best just start up a new topic, but to comment, you act like the training mode lets you do stuff :(.

For example, unless you have the AI set to act like a CPU then it can take 1 to 7 frames to actually do the reactionary command you want it to do.

^^This

Shit is soooo 2004.

We probably need our own Gootecks and Mike Ross to breakdown some "Greatest Matches"

When tried I helping Dr. Teeth with Helena set ups, I forgot you could not set the CPU to "player" control

Ya well...I didn't exactly have the equipment to do anything crazy back then, and it was all recorded in one day at a friends house lol. I took part in teaching people how to play online though (I know, terrible environment, but still I tried.)

The amount of effort required to do something like this is phenomenal. I've been trying to work on a basic DOA5 trailer breakdown for three months now and I still have nothing to show for it.

We kinda did something but going back to it now seems like a moot point:

Anyone have any of the Japanese DOA3 guides? I'm about to import a few books but can't decide which. The ebay auctions have nice sample pages but I'm more interested in the indexes, so if someone could take a few pics that would be awesome

Oops... @grapefruitman I just noticed you have two of the books in your collection, would you recommend one over the other? Does either book have exclusive commentary, interviews, or art? I was leaning more toward the official guide over the perfect guide, even though it's thinner

I approve of the figurine, FakeSypha.

Edit: I won this at D.I.D. 7

I don't really keep games I'm not actively playing. Not really an active collector, so all I have currently is DoA4 and that's mostly because I wouldn't get shit for selling it AND I got it for free.
