-Everyone has their ideal type of characters and specific/ideal requirements for choosing whom they use and wish to utilize in a game. This thread is a share type thread where you can share with other members your ideal/preferred character in terms of traits and what they possess etc. Here are the categories you can elaborate on if you wish to participate:

-Age: What type of age range do you prefer?

-Interest in the opposite/preferred sex: If you wish to share, is your character one of virtue or one who seems to have sexual experience and or interest in their preferred gender? Maybe they're chaste, asexual, or wish to love someone but aren't focused on sex? This is a serious question, please be serious if you wish to answer.

-Powers/special abilities: Is your preferred character preferably one who has powers? What type do you prefer, curses, or more benign powers?

Looks: Never really thought of it, just not a typical moeblob, male or female, I guess, lol.

preferred gender/sex: attack helicopter (okay maybe a dude because we need more dudes)

alignment: neutral, ain't got time for that good v evil shet, maybe switches sides often

personality: kinda like gonta gokuhara, seems angry and scary to approach but is actually a cinnamon roll

special species: not sure, maybe half attack-helicopter

backstory: in all honesty... no idea. Maybe he's wanted to enter the tournament for ages but he's had to build up a lot of confidence. He finally approaches Zack, stuttering like hell and then Zack's like "ey that's pretty good"

style: fast and big combos.

Ah! So this was your thread idea, I have to say I like the idea of this thread It will be interesting to see what peoples opinions are. I'll try to be a bit in depth. I'm going to be basing this off the idea of my preferred character gender. Anyway for me it would be -

-Age: Hmm I'd say I prefer anything over the 20 range for a start or atleast not 18 lol since that's a bit oversaturated at this point imo. I'd like 20 or above type ages since I don't mind how old.

-Height: Maybe between 5.6 to 6.2 type height since I think that's a decent height area.

-Looks: Personally I'd say a more mature face with a very fierce severe type of look, Something that's very badass but still has that gorgeous look to it that's got some kind of high fashion model look.

-Race/ethnicity: Honestly don't mind though I guess my infatuation with Lisa lends me to dark skin with her being sadly the only woman with it, Over all though I don't really care since I think all are gorgeous. For nationality etc... I'm not sure they could be from anywhere from Argentina to Chad I don't mind lol.

-Preferred Gender/sex: Okay this ones super easy! Female, If there is a female option in a game I am instantly going to pick that option, I love the feel the look the customization and everything. Not to mention they also tend to be more y play style as well. All the way back from Peach being my main character in Super Smash Bros Melee I've preferred female characters.

-Alignment: It really depends since they can be the good hearted cute girl or the stone cold bitch in 7inch heels and a fur coat coming to kill you with a silenced pistol before seducing the detective that comes to solve your murder... Though I guess from that detailed description it's obvious I prefer the stone cold bitch type.

-Personality: Flirty and seductive while also being a deadpan snarky and sarcastic type character is what I find great.


-Hair: I couldn't really say since It depends on how it's styled though I'd probably say short since most femme fatale type characters have short hair, Not to mention Christie and Lisa my two favourite characters from doa have short hair, Though Jade ( The queen of the MK franchise ) has gorgeous black long hair tied in a ponytail hanging the whole way down past her hips which is beautiful... Jade is perfection though so that's not surprising.

-Body/physique: Tall, with muscle to show that she is strong but with a quite large ( not to large ) bust and decent hips, It needs to look okay though she can't have completely over the top proportions, Bayonetta has long legs and arms but It still looks okay.

-Special Species: I guess elfs are pretty cool, I absolutely love the old myths of Spriggans though and forest nymphs so I'd be okay with them.

-Fashion/dress style: Like I said in the dlc thread I think it was It's a matter of making something hoe but then making it fashion, She has to have high class tastes and this is when high heels come in, I love trousers on women like pantsuits etc and big fur ( I hate fur clothes in real life but It's fictional so it's fine. ) I love Lisa's big fur coat in doa5 and big hoop earrings with her trousers ( that while they have cut outs the whole way up to her hips like I said before it comes off as fashion and not hoe ) and her dark skin tone and short hair go so well with it.

-Voice: A lower womanly voice to fit her is what I like, I love strong southern British accents like Christie's, Ivy's and Bayonetta's I think that accent is beautiful.

-Special body characteristics/desired personal fetish traits: If it was a man then sure body hair ( Marduk from tekken... nuf said lol. ) for women though I can't really think of anything specific though I'm not into women in that way so there isn't much that comes to mind.

-Backstory: I like a strong sense of why they are doing what they're doing, I don't really like the stories that are basically "they are there just for the sake of it" I like them to have something they want to gain.

-Style: I like a mix, Jade for example is very graceful and elegant with her Bo ( staff) yet at a moments notice she'll have impaled you on it and broke your back.

-Ease of use: Lol I'm not really a master of fighting games though for the characters I like I do get to know there play style but I'd say I prefer them to be easy to learn.

-Relatable: Obviously It's nice if you can look at a character's struggles and relate them to your own but It's not really necessary for me to like them honestly, I love Lili from Tekken but she's not relatable to me at all.

-Occupation: Assassin's, Scientists, Soldiers are all fine to me, They show that they are of high intelligence or have some kind of goal.

-Oddities: Stuff like Alisa from tekken being an android that can make chainsaws appear out of her arms is insanely cool so yeah I like stuff like this, Not on every character but when It's one or two in a cast then It's cool.

-Popularity: ... Well... Lisa is pretty much my favourite in doa now and... she was the bottom in that poll.

-Interests: I always like to know about a characters interests even if they aren't really important I think It adds to the character but It doesn't have to match mine.

-Interest in the opposite/preferred sex: I'm completely fine with anything If they are straight, bi, gay etc I don't mind since most of the time I don't really have an interest in romance in fiction and don't care if it enters into a story.

-Powers/special abilities: I think I prefer my characters to have powers that come in the form of an item or something if they have one.

That was interesting! I enjoyed thinking about what I like in characters so hopefully this thread gets more traffic!

Great start guys!! I'll start mine now:

☆Age: In terms of age, I prefer both male and female characters to be youthful and young, females around 16-21 and males about 16-20. In some cases like in KOF regarding Tung, I do accept older elderly male characters but only specific types, the old but humble master being an example like Tung.

☆Height: I prefer the female to be tall and statuesque although I don't exactly have qualms with short heights. For males I prefer them at about normal to somewhat short in height, I don't really like them too tall and intimidating, it takes away from the youthful balance I expect. I also don't mind them very or even somewhat short at all.

☆Looks: For females, I prefer big, cute, anime type eyes with long lashes if possible and a round soft looking face, although I'm also fine with more prominent jaws and more mature faces too. I'm an avid fan of the resting bitch face like Lili in TTT2 and I don't mind realistic over cutesy faces as long as it's done right. I prefer thinner eyebrows although thicker more moe type ones are cute too. For males, I prefer more bishonen faces that give off a youthful fresh air as well as a babyface if it's possible, big eyes and more feminine features included if it's also possible, and I prefer more articulate or thicker shaggier eyebrows as well. Their face shape is not really relevant to me although round is preferred. For both, I like anime color eyes as well as heterochromatic and natural color eyes. Eyebrows HAVE to match the hair color, and I don't mind freckles. Eyepatches for girls is also great but eyewear isn't the same for males.

☆Race/Ethnicity: Doesn't matter as much to me although I prefer Japanese, chinese, korean, and overall more eastern race types. I'm fine with American type characters, African American as well but only for females...I don't like how African American men are presented in most videogames. I'm also not to fond of Hispanic characters in games either as well.

☆Preferred gender/sex: I'm pretty even in preference but because most games don't have male characters that get my attention in terms of my preferences design wise, I'm almost always using a girl and that unfortunately makes me look like I always use women when in fact it doesn't matter to me. XD I kinda do prefer women though simply because their styles and them as a whole are more interesting imo.

☆Alignment: Good all the way, I'm not much a fan of evil. I'm fine with neutral but I prefer the side of good.

☆Personality: For personality, I like moe types for both genders as well as aristocrats and elegant types. For girls, I like moe, gloomy, bitchy, haughty, reluctant, and determined girls but tsunderes and snarkers as well as bitches are my go to! I also like genki types for both genders. I dislike tomboy type characters in most cases.

For males I like more innocent/moe, troubled, cocky/sarcastic, confident/overconfident, traditional protagonist and overall more spirited characters. I'm not too into jerky male characters but it depends on how it's executed. Gloomy more darker types are also welcome.

I'm also into characters who are forced to do things they wish not to and are reluctant, and I like characters who seem depressed or suffer from social issues as well as just not fitting in.

☆Hair: For both genders, longer hair is my preference. For females I prefer straight hair types styled in a multitude of hairstyles but I prefer the base hair be styled in a hime cut. About waist to hip length is my preference and I prefer it loose unless in a high pony...if the hair is too long it HAS to be thin and styled into a low hanging style otherwise I won't like it. Short hair is OK but only of its shaggy for both genders and with wild long unkempt bangs and side locks, I also love coifed and long concave bobs as well as side braids and long sidelocks with short hair.

For males any length is fine and I like it if their hair is longer than my female opponent's...if I have a female who has short hair and if they're placed together, that's when I'll dislike it. -_- Loose or tied up is fine, and I'm also into short afro texture hair for both genders or low shaved hair in rare cases... Hair colors must be natural or in a color I like such as red, grey, etc.


☆Body/physique: For females, I like either a slimmer curvy figure or a thicker one as well. I prefer their bust be large but not too large and I'm not against smaller sizes, I like abs or a nice toned stomach but not too much muscle.

For males I don't like them to be muscle bound like say Marduk but overall fit and tone at a decent level like say Jin Kazama or Zwei, something that shows they train but aren't muscle heads. Muscle level can vary although I don't wish for them to be wimps, they need to look like they can handle themselves and have basically trained to do what they do.

☆Special species: I'm a big fan of furries as well as animal hybrids, bunny, lamb, etc. I also like oni because of the single horn on their foreheads and I like elves as well as dwarves in some cases.

☆Fashion/dress style: For females, I just like them to look sexy. I like lolita and the various types they have as well as dresses, battlesuits, armour, casual wear and anything cute with a classy but sexy balance, like if you're gonna show legs cover the top up a bit. Heels are obviously my preferred footwear, especially the thin heeled ones and stilettos and boots. I love goth fashion and any darker fashion, especially if there's symbolism behind its design like Lili's T6 wedding chap and bustier outfit. Piercings and jewelry are fine but with nice balance.

For males, I like casual wear as well as Gothic fashion and more punk type stuff with spikes and stuff. I love loose tied fabric on both genders outfits too. For males, I don't mind some armour but it doesn't have to cover everything, leaving some parts open or covered with casual wear or nothing is good since it looks natural imo and gives them a more adventurous but free type vibe. Boots and sneakers are also A ok and hoodies and denim jeans are awesome too. Also don't mind platform boots and asymmetrical clothes for both genders as well as rips and tears here and there, and I love if they show a little or even alot of chest/pec and abs. Tight jeans are also a weakness of mine for both genders, especially if there's v-lines and pelvic flares involved.

☆Voice: For females I prefer higher pitch type voices or more energetic and genki sounding ones. Loud voices are great but I don't mind reserved and quiet feminine ones either, more mature ones and more manly ones are fine but I'm very picky. For males I prefer more youthful voices and softer/soft spoken ones, I can't stand older more burly ones aside from say Bass, but then again large ham voices are cool to, and I like both to have loud and feisty yells when they attack or shout. Detached voices are also awesome as well as lower pitched and slowed down voices. I'm also a fan of accents such as french, british, etc.

☆Special body/desired characteristics or fetish- Uh....this is kinds embarrassing but for female characters I uh....like ass and butt jiggle physics and shapely thighs...back arches are also mad sexy as well as nice abs. For guys I just kinda like muscle period, but I have a particular liking to pecs and abs and arm and back muscles. I also like ass too for them as well... tight clothes for both genders is also a fetish to me, I love skintight suits for example and shirts that cling to their boobs, abs/stomach and pecs and you can see every little detail, that's really hot ♡.♡

I hate body hair for both genders, it's disgusting imo, and I prefer they keep the traditional no body hair thing going on. Freckles are also a nice touch. I'm also kind of drawn to blonde characters and characters with long hair....something about characters with longer hair just makes me feel at ease, comfortable for some reason.

☆Backstory- I prefer a darker backstory, something that makes me want to reach out to these characters and makes me feel empathy. I like stories where characters have sad upbringings and often have to hide their true selves out of fear of backlash or to appease someone else but they still have that person's best interest at heart, and also stories that involve them looking happy on the outside but they're suffering and hurting deep down and want help. Sophitia from SC4 is a good example, having to cast away her virtue and faith in her god to protect her children by protecting the evil sword. I also like Jin's story since he's determined after being betrayed by his grandfather to end his cursed blood line as well as facade his devil form. Happy stories just don't really resonate with me unless that character had to fight and suffer and persevere for it.

☆Style: I like a multitude of styles, but elegance and dance are my favorite, Ryona, Lili, Anna, and Claudio and naotora and Kasumi are big examples; They use unsafe and impractical but elegant graceful attacks and slashes over punches to show their grace and beauty from their styles. I also like styles like Anna that have a bitchy dominant twist. Styles like phase and Jin I like since they're not graceful; they emphasize a rushed and forced style that focuses on ending their opponents swiftly and quickly as soon as they get an opening, you can also see their stories and their personality imo from their moves alone. I also like "No idea what I'm doing styles" like beginning adventure Emil and pyrrah since yet again, their inexperience and fear are shown, and they even cower in fear and say things like "Stop it!" and "I don't wanna die!" That projects their fear to the viewer, this makes me even more determined to win and play with them. Zoner and rush down styles are my preferred types since I feel more at ease with them.

☆Ease of Use: Easy to middle, never was a fan of high execution. I prefer characters who are easy to use and learn but hard to master and they take a lot of risks for a high reward, them being limited and linear makes it more rewarding to win with them. I also like cheap characters who will likely get that "What a cheap dick/bitch!!" reaction from my opponent. I'd say the hardest VG character I use would be Phase and Kensou, the latter because I'm not used to 2D games like that. xD

☆Relatable: Yes I prefer my mains be relatable. I relate to characters who are forced, reluctant, reserved, belittled, and overall more weak mentally and have to act differently in front of others to appease them. I can't relate to dick/bitch type characters but I like them since they have that confidence, that dominance I yearn for in myself, and I like female characters who are very dominating and just reek overt sexuality, their prowess and intimidating nature really lights a fire in me. Finally I relate to more passive and submissive characters, even masochists in some ways as well as people who must apologize for doing the right thing and have to act happy when something they didn't want happens to them.

☆Occupation: Doesn't matter, although I'm naturally drawn to high schoolers or characters with ordinary jobs and employment. Apprentices, beginning swordsmen, nomads, and basically first timers in varying fields catch my eye for both genders.

☆Oddities: I don't mind them at all. I love characters who have a bit of sadism, masochism, bipolarity, and mental problems in them like Tira, Ryona etc. I also like characters who undergo extreme mind changes like Pyrrah Omega, there's a sort of beauty in her primal bloodthirsty state. The Pandora mode in street fighter x tekken is another example, I love the thought and idea of everyone becoming bloodthirsty, neon black, edited voice pitch, and covered with demonic symbols to show the fatal influence the Pandora box has over them ♡.♡

☆Popularity: For both genders, it doesn't matter, I'm strangely always drawn to characters who are either massively popular or hated for some reason, case in point Lili and Emil from TOS. I don't like them for popularity tho, only simple for their character alone.

☆Interests- Doesn't matter although I like when the characters like something I do, like Lili likes pop music and gothic fashion like me and Noctis likes cats like me too. XD I find it more fascinating and interesting seeing what characters like regardless.

☆Interest in the opposite/preferred sex: I honestly don't care whether my character is straight, bi, gay, pan, etc., it just doesn't matter to me. I prefer my characters be less driven by sex tho and more virtuous as well as liking someone for them and love rather than just their body. I also like characters who seem chaste, asexual, or are even virgins and just not interested in sex as a whole and aren't distracted by the sensual and sleazy.

☆Powers/Special abilities- I honestly prefer more darker abilities but I like elegant and beautiful powers as well. Curses and being controlled are also very preferred in my eyes and I like when characters must carry the burden of an inner curse and struggle with the realities that they must utilize it to survive.

Ok, i'm not following this strictly, because my answer is way more simple than that.

But here we go:

-Age: Anything above 18 and below 40.

-Height: It doesn't matter.

-Looks: Proportional and non-deformed.

-Race/ethnicity: Don't care about that.

-Preferred Gender/sex: Female.

-Alignment: Good or Neutral, a few evil characters i like.

-Personality: No preference on that.


-Hair: No preference on that, as long as looks good in game.

-Body/physique: I like busty woman, not going to lie.

-Special Species: Nothing here, whatever the games have if stays humanoid.

-Fashion/dress style: Nothing much here, something a bit fancy, or a bit heavy metal, with a clevage at max.

-Voice: Nothing too high pitched i guess.

-Special body characteristics/desired personal fetish traits: Nothing here.

-Backstory: Secondary Character wants to do secondary character things (Cody, Makoto, Ayane in the ninja gaiden games, etc).

-Style: Shows that enjoys fighting in some way or other (via "i love fighting" type of stuff like ryu or ken from SF, or just a person that likes to crush his/her enemies (ayane?))

-Ease of use: I'm bad at execution, but i like somewhat demanding characters.

-Relatable: Don't care.

-Occupation: IF it has an occupation, something honest.

-Oddities: none (like, none as in "no oddity or weird thing going on please").

-Popularity: Less popular i would say.

-Interests: nothing really.

-Interest in the opposite/preferred sex: No answer there.

-Powers/special abilities: In fighting games, i normally preffer the characters that use their strenght/agility over stuff like magic, or weapons.

Oh guys this isn't exactly a character creation thread, it's a thread that has you state your various preferences when deciding who you'd use in a fighting game roster, like basically what catches your eyes and what doesn't. XD Wazaaa did is incorrect in some cases since he basically described just Tengu and nothing much else.

-Special body characteristics/desired personal fetish traits: Body hair for sure. Also blonde from the sun

-Backstory: Grew up in the Australian outback steakhouse wrestling the frisbee-sized tarantulas they have there. Has loving hippie parents who reluctantly accept his interest in fighting and everything extreme

-Style: Reckless with some gymnastic prowess

-Ease of use: Medium, like easy to perform strings but has that one move in juggles that's kind of annoying like Ein's WR K.

-Relatable: Nah

-Occupation: Makes youtube videos of himself doing crazy dangerous stuff and somehow makes a living from it

If this is especially for the DOA series, I would probably describe another young guy like Eliot, but who has a bit more spunk and aggressiveness to himself. Someone like Soul Calibur's Yunseong. I really think a character like this misses in DOA.
