So what Ive gathered is... DOA Players can't be friends. Well, they can but not with Master. I just don't get it. Yet, don't want to either.

From what I've seen, in general the online personalities don't 'tend' to show up offline. Issues are generally checked at the door for the purpose of the tournament. Well, except for the time at evo where Master and Perfect Legend got into a slapping fight with each other...

DOA community is full of friends. I like everyone except the people who are in with Manny. As a result, I like almost everyone, or at least peacefully co-exist with them.

Not true. I'm pretty sure you do not peacefully co-exist with guys named NOD Subway, or anyone who is unnecessarily, irrefutably, or just habitually idiotic.

Meeting people offline really does improve things for everyone. I'd be inclined to think I'd get along with everyone here really well (everyone enjoys the same game and lots of smart peeps here) and don't have any problem with those I've met so far, including Manny who I know totally feeds on the trash talk, like water off a duck's back. You have to respect that at least.

It takes us back to an important point though - people need to show up to as many events as possible, not just those events close to them.

I'm sure you'll still see plenty of posts from enough stupid people to amuse yourself during periods of boredom. Don't overestimate the amount of reading newbs will do here ... especially when it comes to spotting that one particular post in the midst of a 16+ page (which this is gonna be soon) thread.

You're good.

Its hard to "look friendly for the newbs" when you follow up by saying "the stupid ones." If my smilies worked, I would put an eyeroll here for you, good sir.

Is it better to lie and call them smart? I thought I was being respectful.... damn, this whole "being social" thing is difficult.
