Yeah, that plus exchange rates its super pricey. NieR costs like 9k too...

I think id rather pay £40 on an online retailer than than pay £50+ to have it a few weeks early.

Interesting. The only way I'd be excited though is if a Nier character got a GR2 outfit though in exchange as I dont have GR2.

I probably won't be able to get it straight away but i got the money now, so when i go to the mall i'm gonna get it and use the extra $20 for some DOA DLC and the SK Battle Vixen DLC! It'll definitely be nice being occupied by a game of this caliber! :-D Especially since Horizon Dawn is the big game atm and i am not interested in it and i did feel kinda left out XD

Horizon and Nier: Automata are not of the same caliber though. Horizon is considered a AAA blockbuster game, Nier: Automata is a AA niche game. It's also way smaller and shorter. That does not mean Nier: Automata is a worse game, it might turn out to be even more critically acclaimed, but they are not in the same league and way apart in production value.
You haven't finished FFXV, have you? FFXV is considered a AAA game too by the way. The only recent JRPG of that caliber.

That does not mean Nier: Automata is a worse game, it might turn out to be even more critically acclaimed, but they are not in the same league and way apart in production value.

Oh I know XD I just mean I'm excited as a whole, really hope there's no patches or anything since those atm really impede my progress in playing the games. I wouldn't know tho since I know very little about Horizon Dawn but it must be good considering everyone I know who's mentioned getting the game seem to be busy with it, I may ask Lotr if he got it too XD

i feel the same way haha. like Overwatch, Horizon Dawn just never really grabbed my attention and I only wanna get it because everyone else keeps going on and on about it.

but I'm looking forward to this game, which is more the type of game i'm into nowadays: Crazy Awesome.

Right! XD Don't get me wrong the game is beautiful but it isn't something I'd play, FF and Nier Automata are more up my alley, especially since presentation is everything for me, 2B caught my eye more so than the Horizon Dawn protagonist did.

I think this is a very important thing to remember for those planning on getting this game. It is a fantastic game with a deep story and very interesting characters and most importantly solid gameplay but you can tell it's a budget game.

Graphics are hit or miss. Either the environment looks really good or it doesn't. I think @Tyaren would get a heart attack if he saw some of the low res environment textures and some of the non-playable insignificant characters. XD Thankfully all of the main characters are well done in design but seriously the Rebellion androids...we're talking early PS3 here.

The game also suffers from some technical difficulties. Platinum struggles and I think it's because they're used to linear games. The framerate most of the time can stay well above 30 fps however the game will sometimes suffer from "stutter" (specific areas of the map are offenders).

When I played the demo, one segment I hated was when u had to beat this onslaught of Droids in the square room to open the door and it went into an almost top down view...I couldn't focus and I swear I almost died and almost closed the demo in fustration because I hated the forced angle. It felt so claustrophobic >.>

Well the fixed camera angles won't be going away. XD It will mostly be side scrolling though not from above (except for some bullet hell segments). Some remind me of the old school side scroll platformer a.

I preordered the game last month.
And I really don't care for graphics and shit like that, is it playable? Does it have my best interests at heart? If it is, it's a buy to me.

And yeah, I plan on getting the SK Battle Vixen's DLC later and possibly the entire Arc Sys crossover DLC or just a few of them for now...
Getting Nioh on top of that and possibly Xenoblade Chronicles for the New 3DS(as well as buying a New 3DS XL on top of that) when this check comes.

I need my games to be like an adrenaline rush. For my non high octane games I prefer the classic walk around and investigate games like monkey island, heavy rain, two souls, murdered soul suspect, etc, etc.


But horizon zero dawn is just "Its free roam and you can craft!" .....aaaaaaand? Unless some of those giant robosaurs are a Shadow of the Colossus style boss fight, i don't really care. It was same with the Witcher. I was just BORED.
