It seemed over the top tbh, the game toning down the sex appeal isn't that serious xD Either way I'm sorry but the petition won't be acknowledged, especially since the girls are still as voluptuous as they always been. Plus they haven't even added the jiggle in yet if you hadn't read recent interviews about the development of the game

The thing is not going there. The word authenticity says more than a million words.

While you're correct (sans DOA2's turning on/off based on your age being over/under 18), I think the more prevalent point is that it's an example of how the general audience of gamers see the game series. That mentality of "she kicks high" was ingrained deep, and is something at least the current team doesn't want associated with the series. I know it's difficult for some in the community to actually get an idea of just how small the existing community is compared to the potential community there could be.
Well, it's not like I'm unaware of DoA's public image, though I have to admit after reading through the comments on articles like this one and on other public platforms… it's even worse than I thought lol
Doesn't bother me if a random commenter has a warped view, but I think authors of these articles should at least kinda get it right…
Imo this article paints previous iterations in the worst light possible on several occasions. This creates an unnecessarily stark contrast between DoA6 and the other games, contributing to the perception that DoA6 is a massive change in design philosophy. Which is pretty much the basis for the whole “TN is abandoning its core fanbase” narrative we have right now. And if the wider audience they are aiming for gets the impression that TN/DoA6 is “anti-consumer”… well, then it might actually be Dead on Arrival…

I'd assume this will probably die down once more female chars are revealed and the overall direction becomes clearer, but I think the marketing so far has been quite disastrous… I mean it seems even a lot of people that should know better (having seen the marketing of DoA5 and played DoA3 etc.) get their panties in a twist…

The SJW have cornered all companies. Now all the games will be monotonous and "politically correct". A videogame is a product of voluntary consumption, which is under the complete responsibility of the person who consumes it and who recommends it. There are restrictions on age, parental control and classification, so I do not understand why companies fear. Now, TeamNinja gives priority to EVO types, and that's ridiculous. They only compete to be the best, but they do not enjoy, love and respect DOA.

How did I miss this???
Anyway, they very probably enjoy, love and respect DOA much more than you just for the simple sheer amount of hours they put into playing the game over and over, studying its mechanics to the bone and actually put love, care and fun into what they do.
If you want them to join your cause do not shit in their cereal, thank you.

The marketing has been as good and clear as the whole "we're done with DOA(5)" video they made earlier lol.
Then again It's still very early... BUT

Looking at gamefaqs / reddit / steam... and when I open twitter comments about almost anything DOA6 related they are filled with Kasumi in Burqa lmao

*Yikes*

And the steam forums.
Fucking Steam!? Really!? These fuckers will just mod balloon tits, pregnant bellies and all sorts of shit all over again like they did with DOA5, why the fuck should they care?

Well. If I have offended or bothered you, I offer you an apology. It is not my intention to disturb anyone. My intention is for people to reflect a little.
Except that's what you are doing right now. You are going to a dedicated DOA forum and telling us that we don't care about DOA because it's all about the titties. You are doing exactly what I hate because you are acting as if that's all DOA's identity is.

Ironically, you are doing the exact same thing people despise when other's ignore the merits of something else to bitch about something no one else cares about.

I didn't like the fanservice of DOA5LR because it went too over the top but I didn't like them saying they was going to tone down the fanservice of DOA5 because there was nothing in the past games to really tone down past the marketing.
So how dare you go around and posture how that we don't care because we want the gameplay to be front and center over the fanservice? Reminds of the same morons in GameFAQS who unironically say that this is an SJW playground because "DOA is about the tits" as if that can't be applied to any other video game ever with that type of logic.

EDIT: Oh damn...I have to eat crow. The one GameFAQs topic that was talking about this very article...was extremely tame and most of the posters wasn't screaming their heads off at the boobs being "lessened".

Compared to the DOA Reddit and Steam, that's extremely impressive.
