I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, because the legacy packs sold poorly....even Leifang and Tina's which were further sexualized to get more sales wasn't enough to save it. I wouldn't mind a casual pack vol. 3 and additional hair for everyone though. Kasumi needs a low ponytail, pigtails, a bun, and a bobcut to fulfill my hair needs.

Speaking of hair, I wanna see options for the men. Bowlcuts, afros, mullets, mohawks, neon-pink shoulder-length hair, jarhead style... some stuff to vary with at least.

I submitted some ideas of moves for Helena to TN (on Facebook), and they said they were "planning to keep patching the game", so that's good news.

The person who answered is the community manager, but he wouldn't have said anything if he wasn't sure.
Hoping we can see some new moves at the same time the DLC character is released. Would be great!

We saw what happens when they do new hairstyles. Very hit or miss, mostly the latter though.

Yeah most of the hairstyles either didn't fit the character, or were just out of left field. Hitomi with short hair, Mila with pinned hair, Tina with pigtails, and Leifang with basically her loose hair with a braid added and a slight part in her fringe were rather unnecessary. I'm hoping they'll have some better options come 2016. They did say something about other new things becoming available as DLC.

What they should have done instead is yaknow...bothered to research real modern hairstyles. Here's results from a quick Google search (I was mostly looking for better styles for Mila and Tina because to me those were the worst)

I think the hairstyle choices they chose were catering more to the Japanese audience honestly, because most of the new hairstyles(minus Kasumi, Ayane, Hitomi, and Christie) I never see any girl in the US wear at all. Lisa's new one in particular was a dead give away at the Japanese catering since I only ever see a style like that in manga.

Exactly. They obviously did research into western styles with vanilla doa5, which shows with Mila and Rig's hair and overall designs, plus the "gritty" stages, but they dropped it all and the dlc hairstyles are just stereotypically anime to the point they don't fit the characters at all. Even Christies doesn't really fit, it just passes(the Cleopatra, her business woman cut fits perfect)

But again seriously the pigtails and cutesy hairpin cut with Tina and Mila?! what the fuck no.

Tina, combined with certain outfits, does have a porn-star feel with that hairstyle.

On another note all of Hitomi's hairstyle fit her pretty well, and aren't only "anime cute" hairstyles either. I always joke she starts sporting the short hair after a cooking accident.

When it comes to the new hairstyles, ever since i started playing last round, i got the impression that the new styles were added partially to highlight the improvements to the character models brought about by the soft engine; I didnt really notice how much better the skin textures on the faces of the girls until I used their alternates, particularly tina and mila whose new hairstyles showed off much more of their faces which were partially obscured by their defaults.

As for christie, i though her new hairstyle from ultimate suits her better (i honestly wish it were her default)but i think it looks just fine. It doesnt suit momiji though, looks too short for her

I know but like...giving Mila that cutesy clipped hair is like giving Kasumi liberty spikes. Its just so wildly polar opposite for the character that its jarring
