So I'm playing the Dissidia NT open beta and MAJOR changes from the closed beta back in August, this is less barren of content and offers more than one mode with brain dead AI.
List of changes:
- Story Mode
- Treasure Mode
- Offline Battle
- Tutorial Mode
- Online Battle
- Player/Character CustomizationCustomization
Story Mode details:
Story Mode consists of cutscenes, you play matches to unlock points to "buy" the cutscene or "Events" as they're called in the game.
Treasure:
This is where you exchange medals that you earn in battle for Customization items, these include, player profile avatars, character battle dialogs, music(e.g. original versions of battle music), character skins and weapons idk if there's anything else.
There's also a "Shop" but its greyed out Olin the beta, this is either where you buy medals for the lootbox system or its where you can just buy the weapons/skins etc. you want outright. Its worth mentioning that you earn gold so its probably also where that comes in use.
Tutorial:
The tutorial is an ACTUAL tutorial now like DOA5s it goes in depth with all the battle mechanics and system stuff like what C. LVL is etc. There's no English so I can't understand a word but I'm glad its no longer a half assed video.
Offline Battle:
There's 2 modes, Rush Battle and Free Battle. Free Battle is unavailable but I'm guessing that's where you can customise the battle settings, map, etc.(if there's a 1v1 mode it's probably in here)
Rush Battle acts like an Arcade Mode of sorts, you pick a party of 3 characters and fight up to 5 matches or so and you pick the enemy teams manually each have different stages, skins and vary in difficulty (you can actually lose in the offline mode now and AI is no longer brain dead)
Online Battle:
Here's the real meat, there's 3 modes.
Ranked Solo, Ranked Party(you and 2 players) and Room Match which is very obviously the Lobby Room function. (Room Match was unavailable)
Customization:
I can't say much for the same reason as the tutorial, but I can say this is where to go to customize your player profile and characters, set your avatar, title, main character, character skins and I think you can choose which tracks are your favorite? I'm not sure until the English beta comes out.
