Christie used to have a guard break that is +15 on block no matter how long it's charged and guarantees a free 6p stun (4p+k). In the wall game, this was very problematic, as Christie's neutral game after a wall throw all but guaranteed a free stun if the opponent chooses to block on wakeup rather than sidestep. That is considered unfair, and was justifyingly nerfed after Vanilla DOA5. Now, Christie has to fully charge 4p+k in order to get that guaranteed 6p for stun pressure. And under normal circumstances, the opportunities to land it are very few.I hate when people reply with that. That is basically giving blatant bs a pass. I know I'm not the only that think/see that Christie is way too unfair in this game
Also, Christie's 9k used to be hold resistant and went through opponents (which was ideal for open space, but not opposite the wall), but not anymore. In addition, 7pp used to have a lift stun property, but has been reduced to a string with a small stun and is holdable in any interval of the string.
I hope this (along with the small gift I gave you in private) helps to shed some light on how bad the Christie matchup could've been compared to her current incarnation. At the end of the day, some players just utilize her strengths and minimize on exploiting her weaknesses very well. But she is not unfair in her current state, much less unbeatable. The best advice I can give you is to not give her an opportunity to mix you up near the wall and keep her honest in the open by tracking if necessary. Few characters can do that, such as Ayane for instance.
