Helena in DOA5U

thank you ninjaguy. I am not happy that 33p4p wall hits, but other than that, I can accept that BKO 6p no longer FT. I am glad that 66p stuns instead of knocking the opponent down. That move is a great whiff punisher against any kokoro who does 1kkk and then backs away and tries to whiff punish. I am crossing my fingers, and hoping that BT 66k is still +0 on block.
I can't wait for the video!!!

Okay, so, I'm on my way home from SJ (I got like 7th or something) and here is my reflection on DOA5U Helena.

DOA5U Helena is going to play very differently from DOA5 Helena because of the removal of her PFTs after handslaps. She still has potential FTs (BKO 2K, BT 66K, BT 4K) but I don't think she's centered around it. She now has DISGUSTING buffs. Her new sitdown stun grants PLUS FORTY-FOUR (+44) ON HIT! I was not able to test it with stagger escape, but it will be VERY useful. 66P now stunning is so nasty, I will feel bad for using it. In terms of dealing with wakeup kicks, she'll always have BKO duck and 9K. I was not able to test if her 66H+K (new kick move) can consistently avoid low kicks. Helena's 6P AND 8PP lead to back turned now. This will greatly improve Helena's already good mixups. H+K and it's variants now lead into BKO, making the Guard Crush even better than before. When moving around, Helena feels smoother. Helena's cop outfit is sexy. Get Hype.

Overall, I feel that Helena will be even better than in DOA5 because of all of her buffs in comparison to her nerfs. Sadly, the magnificent PP2KP has not returned. I won't be returning tomorrow (I live in Philadelphia), so SomewhatMental will continue to cover her. I'll ask him to check out 66H+K's jumping possibilities. Also, I believe that we missed a move. The move in the original awesome trailer. The overhead into BKO. He'll look for it tomorrow also.

Video to come in about like 15-20 minutes.

You are a god amongst men, thank you sir.

The sit down stun being +44 means the opponent would need to shake 23 frames to avoid CB which isn't even remotely possible so I think we have a guaranteed CB!

I forgot to mention though did her other sit down stuns get a buff?

Sorry, I didn't get to check that. I'll tell somewhatmental to check tomorrow. Alsi, on the stream, I looked through Helena's entire moveset.

I'm the one with the watch on his right wrist and playing Helena. Would've played more but you could only play 3 matches before you rotate people. Lol this is probably the best/most Helena footage we've had yet.

1:11 6PP still causes a sit down stun.

but...

1:21 BT PPPP causes a bind state.

7:52 P(P) Causes a bind state! Does that mean 9P causes a bind state too seeing as it's the same attack? Seeing as the same attack causes two different status' with 6PP and BT PPPP it may not but here's hoping.

I'm curious to see if BT 7P causes a bind state now, I'd wager TN will have switched it's hit status seeing as it was useless as a SDS before being only +13.
