From what I've seen so far it seems logical.

Quick question, you said BKO 2K force tech's but I watched the stream where it was Helena vs Kokoro, perhaps that was you playing, and Helena did BKO F+P > 4PP8K > 2K2 and it whiffed.

Same deal with 4K > 4K > 66K2, it whiffed right through Ein. Any idea why?

Just saw your edit, yes that was me. Sorry for my scrubbyness lol but I timed them wrong i believe. When I knocked my opponent down and told them not to tech and I tried it they both teched. BKO 2K2 might not work because aftet handslaps you have to wait for them to land for it to connect and if you try BKO 2K2 it'll give you 2K ground hit.

EDIT: Thinking about it now, 33P4P should not be her staple ender. If you do 6P after, it pushes them away, and then when they tech they're even farther. BKO 2K is impossible to do, and going into backturn for BT 66K would most likely be death. ggs team ninja, ggs. She still has a lot of stuff to compensate for the loss of 33P4P. Plus they still force tech off of certain combos

BKO 2K is not impossible; you can avoid the ground kick if you buffer correctly. From what I saw (Bladez playing), it seemed possible still, so I don't think that's an Ultimate change. Still, it's riskier.

Trying to read through this with a limited timer on the hotel computer (no cell right now!), but I'll see if I can get in some test time to catch up on the stuff that NinjaGuy missed.

Also; I think he missed a new move, technically? It's 44P+K, I believe, for her power launcher move; I'm not sure of how useful it will be otherwise, it may have modest relaunch properties and probably will be good for tag combos, based on how her power launcher combo was written in the combo challenge mode. As well as that sit down stun I didn't get to try out because I haven't had much time on the machine at all. Casuals until 7 AM yesterday took their toll.

The sit down stun being +44 means the opponent would need to shake 23 frames to avoid CB which isn't even remotely possible so I think we have a guaranteed CB!

I forgot to mention though did her other sit down stuns get a buff?

Her new bound move (6P+K P) is +44 frames which does not even matter due to knock down. I scrolled through her movelist at the beginning of the second stream. If someone wants to look for new notations they can. Also, Helena has TWO new taunts, not one.

It looked like she had 3 new taunts, since she had a taunt for each direction.

I get that a lot of people want the DOA4 Helena back, but if they did that, they'd have to tone her damage down to that of Pai.

That said, I may pick her up again and main her. The only reason I ever dropped her was because I really hated 33P4P spam and getting yelled at by morons for not abusing it like they did (I even had a "good player" tell me I was playing her wrong, and that was the last straw).

It's nice to see her shifting focus from simple launches -> 33P4P towards what I believe will be a greater combo game like she used to have. AKA people will finally mix things up again, and I missed that immensely.
 
I never did get the frames for that move. Merely the command (214P+K). It seems fast, though. Even without a guarantee, it'll be pretty nice, TBH. Also not sure on the low crush 66H+K potential

Welp get her a crane. She got crippled by TN. That force tech was a foundation of her game. It's similar to Killer Frost's slide in Injustice being safe.

Thank you guys for all these news. This is very refreshing. I'm glad TN put real efforts on Helena, after hearing she was one of the last focus from the programmation team for DOA5. Where can i find good videos? I'm on my family's ipad, it's hard to search for good footage or watch the twitch archive.

Eh, I'm not worried. Losing 6P tech just means designing combos around the other techs she has, all of which can be used in different variations just fine. It was an obvious means to an end, but not the only one. (Though since FTs are now all around harder, I don't know specifics).

Plus, my sense is that her new tools really are useful for neutral pressure, and that they'll make life fun. (I am not convinced of how useful the BT cancels are just yet, needs better investigation)
