Oh ok. But yeah I never meant to imply that I was talking about all DOA players. I know there are the hardcore ones who do understand fighting games. I actually went to a tournament in Texas and got to fight Master Ninja and SweetRevenge. Both of whom who destroyed me lol.

Lets see how well Rachel does after a few tournaments and at high level play in general.
I don't think she's going very far in tournament play. The tournament-goers would be the players who know how easy it is to take advantage of Rachel's weaknesses. Would be nice to have these anti-Rachel strats streamed though so everyone can finally see for themselves how Rachel is nowhere near OP.

So did I. But I don't wanna talk about it.

Personally I'm treating this matchup like I did the Spartan matchupin DOA4 after playing a few matches with Escapingjail at the time, which is to say I'm more excited about figuring it out rather than frustrated.

Honestly, I agree with Rabies. Just nerf the advantage on the force tech whiff, give her negative or around +1~2 at the max if it whiffs. Everything else is fine, she's a heavy so she should do a lot of damage and she's not that fast, there's really no need to touch her.

Otherwise, the opponent feels to free to just mash buttons, which plays into Rachel's main weakness: Inability to deal with being overwhelmed by constant pressure.

The point is more that if she can't do a real launch NH or stun launch, she'll be playing a baiting game with her mainly mid moveset and a strong throw. She'll still have damage, but she'll have to play stun game.

That would hardly do anything to her Neutral game and the 100 other ways to get that air juggle.
1PP is far too stupid for the reward it gives.

I believe Rabies and Allan Paris Also agree about the recovery to the stomp in their commentary at TFC.
Increasing that recovery would solve so much.

I've been saying that for a while now. But that's all right, I see how it is...

After much deliberation and consideration, I've come to the conclusion that yes she's irritating as herpes, but the thing that most annoys me is her god damn twirl. It's not even a damaging move. It just gets more annoying the more it's used in succession. It really makes me want to scream.

On the topic of the ballcrusher, I agree with the idea of increasing recovery.

I can agree to added recovery on stomp whiff as long as there are ways to get guaranteed stomp.

Either way, I would suggest to Team Ninja that they take nerfs one step at a time. Add stomp whiff recovery, and then let's see how she plays out after that.

Just make her actually play stun game. None of this 1 guess crap. Have none of her launchers launch high enough without hitting threshold.

Am I the only one who wants the hit detection fixed so that if you stomp on the floor a good meter away from your opponent the stomp FT doesn't connect?

count me in as the only deserved nerf she should get is being at disadvantage on whiffed stomp. it puts a stop to rewarding a braindead tactic that gives her no risk/high reward and forces rachel players to actually think. otherwise shes fine(in more ways than one i might add :cool:).

Hahaha, that is pretty funny. I can see from the corner of my eye the other guy just shaking their head when I get a ridiculously long distance stomp in locals. It's great.


EDIT: If her stomp is negative on whiff, she'll lose too much. She can't ever force a stomp, so it'd be completely useless. She'll lose her biggest way of forcing abare.

You it it would behave like 99% of FTs in the game except it would still be faster and give her better +frames than most? lol

*sigh* Rachel nerfs? Ugh, lets just get used to her first. No one is used to fighting her because she's new.
Like Christie (I know, terrible example) she's S tier, fast, has the jak, the roll etc etc. People are probably asking for nerfs on her but not really. We are pretty much used to her. So lets try to get used to Rachel AND THEN see what we can nerf, buff, or whatever.

I've decided that Rachel isn't that difficult once you realize she only capitalize on CHs from mashers and jitters. Her force tech after stomp leaves her in good position therefore, it's not really a valid excuse as to why you wouldn't be blocking or even better backdashing(heaven forbid you're near wall) from her.

Rachel lacks ranged pokes and her mid's should be reserved for maintaining pressure rather breaking in against her opponent.

I think if people just played against her a little more, they will have a different opinion about her.

However, most people dismiss the idea if it questions their very concept of the game or how they play.

Just my two cents.
