Hmmm, well, I can understand, but like I said, it's just another definition of the characters. They are more mature. Don't mean to offend you guys, but open your mind. I understand what you mean with "fanservice", especially with the Halloween pack. But here, I think it's alright, there is nothing too disturbing.

I don't know, I can totally see the characters's personality in these costumes, having a vacation after the events of DOA5 : Rig and Christie driving a cabriolet, the wind whipping through their hair. I can see Lisa on Zack Island, quietly preparing for DOAX3. I can see Mila sauntering in Central Park, Eliot guiding Gen Fu in London, Gardener Tifa Kokoro attending a pottery workshop, etc.

But yeah, I feel like Hitomi and Ayane could have had something more casual, Ayane's costume isn't something you can see in the street.. that's more like a fantasy from TN.

A good think with Brad's costume is that it matches Gen Fu's DOA5U hawaian shirt.

Anyway, I'm glad the art direction is evolving, because as much as I like throwback costumes, it's nice to see original stuff from TN. And again with Kasumi's leather jacket, it is suppose to symbolize the fact she is more mature than ever.

Funnily enough when you describe the outfits like that, Ein looks like some slightly weird european guy you'd find laying on the ground napping in the park around some graffiti art he'd just just finished spray painting on the walls or some crap.

Has nothing to do with being mature. If they were "so mature" then how do you explain Ryu Hayabusa dressing up like a mother-fucking Hallmark mummy? It's not about being mature, it's about wearing something that just doesn't suit the character's persona at all.

I feel some hot beats!
:lisa:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, yaAAy!
:leifang:
Kasumi - Kinda random, just feels like they slapped it together so she'd have something too. Bleh.
black biker jacket, while cool, doesn't suit kasumi AT ALL, (More Mila's style, if anything)
Thank you

The dress absolutely looks fantastic and works on Kasumi, would be nice if it was longer and less flowy so fights wouldn't be one giant panty flash. The jacket looks like TN went "this is too simple, what article of clothing can we add to it? *blindly throws dart at wall of random fashion magazine picture clippings*" After seeing the shoes, they do a decent enough job of pulling the outfit together.

...seriously, why do they let boss characters be playable?

Was beating on this one guy, so he just ran to Alpha, and yeah, half my health juggled off because of one lucky jab (Out of like 20 in 5 seconds) getting through.

Cause that's fair. So bullshit...
Tbh 99,9% of Alpha players are total noobs.
Most of the time you can just punish them when they try to wake up, it's not even funny lol
And it's awesome the amount of insane air juggles you can do on Alpha, love it

Lol, is Lisa even supposed to be black (anymore)? XD Up until DOA4 she definitely was, but now her skin tone and facial features indicate a latina. Her profession and personality changes from game to game, why not her ethnicity as well? ;)
Yeah I didn't apreciate that, she was supposed to be a light black chick but clearly black.
Now she looks like a southamerican yeah.
I didn't like her change of personality nor the change of skin tone.
One of the (few?) bad moves they did in DoA5 imho.

Missing the point. It's not "Fanservice" or "more mature", it's "Not their style".

For example.

Helena is supposed to be an elegant beauty, but instead they keep giving her Christie ish stripper outfits.
Mila is a tomboyish athlete, instead they gave her a cute, Hitomi style heavy winter coat, rather than a sports jacket or something that would suit her more.
Kasumi is known for "soft" outfits, with a cherry blossom theme and bright, colorful outfits. So they give her a black leather biker jacket, the hell?!
Christie is known for being a huge whore in her style of dress, (Except her business suit and long lost trenchcoat), so they give her an elegant Helena-ish outfit.
Ayane's steampunk outfit is out of freaking nowhere, doesn't suit her at all.
Lisa either has luchadore outfits or dresses like she's at a nightclub, so whats up with her "casual" outfit. Its too....pregnant housewife for her.

And it ticks me off that Mila keeps getting outfits that seem like throwaway concepts for Hitomi. (Halloween, Casual)

It doesn't help that a lot of the characters already had "Casual" outfits in their defaults (Bayman, Mila, Hitomi) that are more casual than what they got in this "casual" pack. Its them dressing up for an occasion in comparison.

Has nothing to do with being mature. If they were "so mature" then how do you explain Ryu Hayabusa dressing up like a mother-fucking Hallmark mummy? It's not about being mature, it's about wearing something that just doesn't suit the character's persona at all.

To be fair, the mummy outfit WAS a halloween costume. I mean, what, were you expecting Ryu to dress up as a Ninja for Halloween?

Its Mila's pumpkin outfit that seemed out of place. It was way too poofy for her. Overall design and colors are fine, but slim the skirt down and lose the hat. Or just change the skirt to shorts.

I understand. We just have different opinions I guess. ^_^
I just think it's cool to have another approach of these characters.

pregnant housewife for her.

Haha exactly my though.
But I still like it, it's so different from her Vanilla's casual outfit (the "swag" costume).

I like this pack because it is audacious. I'm sick of seeing Ayane in purple & big bows, Christie in black leather, Kasumi in cute innocent dresses and Mila in manly outfits.
I'm looking forward to being surprised with Helena's casual one.

Like I said I"m torn. The costumes themselves are really nice, but they are also really random, being put on the wrong characters, etc. Mila's should go on Hitomi, Lisas should go on Kasumi, Kasumi's jacket should go on Mila, Bayman's should go on Leon (Minus the hat), Hitomi's could possibly go on Mila, Ayane's shouldn't go on anyone, etc, etc.

Dress him up in a tuxedo. Dress him up in a Tengu mask (as I understand it Japanese villages held rituals/ceremonies/celebrations where similar things were done and that would fit with the Hayabusa ninja clan). Come on, this ain't hard. There are a million fitting outfits he could have been given that are also awesome.

Instead we got something lame with the bonus that it doesn't even suit him well. It looks like he had a toilet paper disaster in a public restroom. Shit's just wrong (pun intended).

Really, I think it's better to think of these packs not as "casual wear," but as an excuse to dress characters up in whatever the hell they feel like.

Not feeling this pack. Other than Lisa, Christie, and Brad the rest of them could have been much better (especially disappointed in Kokoro's).
You gotta admit this DLC pack is way better than that terrible sports gear pack.

God, I'm lonely.

ALMOST. All of the costumes are good, but very few actually fit the characters they were put on.

Team Ninja needs to learn to have both points.

a) Good Costumes
that
b) Actually suit/fit the characters.

Still not there yet.
DISSENTING OPINIONS NOT WELCOME
Fixed.

Actually some of you may be right, cause Kasumi's dress (minus the jacket) is something I suggested a while ago to TN (not saying it inspired them, but you're right saying it could fit someone like Helena).

Haha. You know, for a moment, I thought you were gonna post yet another pic of that flippin "Greek Goddess" dress everyone can't stop talking about. I swear, that thing's been requested so many times and always so rudely that I hope it never makes it in. Just like Hayabusa's throwback and Tengu.

Well it's no wonder you're lonely. Quit being an asshole and maybe you'll make some friends.

Fuck that noise, just cause he's wearing shades does not make it automatically a Leon costume.
Maybe what he's referring to is that it looks sort of like an Italian mob costume, and Leon's Italian.

I'd love it on Leon, too, simply because Leon's one of my most played characters, but I don't want it taken away from Bayman.

I do find it strange though that TN consistently gives some character a plethora of great costumes (Bayman/Kasumi) whereas others they absolutely refuse to give them any decent wardrobe options (Ein).
