lol I dont care about how many costumes she has right now. she's a new character and it wont be too long until tons of DLC comes her way after she's released.
This is the only costume I need anyways.

With the new ability in arcade to select customization of hair and whatever at the character select screen, it's possible that's her C1 with some stuff tacked on utilizing that feature.

Yes it's also possible they're two separate outfits because TN has pulled identical outfit crap in the past.

Speaking of that. Has anyone else noticed Leifang's blue coat outfit is her classic leather outfit with a shirt, coat, and tie stuck on it?

Shoes are different, wrists are different, undershirt comes up to the neck on the coat costume and the pants look to be a different texture.

Shoes are recolored but the same, yes the wrists are different, the thing could just be zipped up, and

No, the actual seems are different on the shoes. Maybe the same model, but the texture work is not a simple re-skin/re-color. The design of the shoes is intended to be different.

Pants still look like different textures to me, but it may just be the lighting. A case could be made either way from these pictures.

Currently, the Brazilian census has 5 different racial categories. One of them being "black". Another one being "brown" but that seems to be for all intents and purposes, "black" based on colloquial grouping (from what I'm reading. I don't live in Brazil). So, to say someone is "Brazilian" is as helpful in a race conversation as saying someone is "American".

And based on the American usage of the term "Black"...
...Lisa is black. She is. There's no getting around it. Just accept it. Somebody can try to say "But, Hispanic and Lucha Libre and Spanish names and..." Doesn't matter. Being Hispanic doesn't stop you from being black. Lisa's black. Even if she was made slightly lighter (though I would say just less cartoonish looking) than in DOA4. And you know why? Because racial classification was BS from its inception. Completely. It's all just based upon how you kind of look compared to other people. Same with Halle Berry. Same with Beyoncé Knowles. Same with Barack Obama. The list goes on. No one really cares about your actual ethnic makeup when they're referring to your "race". Which is sad, but like I said, it's all BS.

I mean, we COULD go into how the differences in black/hispanic/white/asian is not just skin colors, but also including things like facial structure, general height, hair colors, etc, but that would be including logic in a discussion, and we can't have that.

Let's just go with this. Lisa's a mutt.


And for the record, when people say "brazilian", they are generally referring to the well known body type of "hispanic, tan and curvy"

All I can think of when I see that is "little oriental decals aside, that outfit would look better on mila."

Not for the "sexiness" (even though mila has a much better ass than LeiFang), but mostly because that outfit just looks sporty.

Not that i want leifangs classic outfit for mila, nononono, just that i want some pants and a top cropped like that for Mila.

...supposed I should actually finish that blue and white costume sketch, which HAS those design elements...

Then again, Mila is also listed as from "Spain", and yet is clearly american as all getout. Doesn't even have a spanish accent, which doesn't SOUND like it means anything, but the other europeans do (Christie, Helena).

Same with Hitomi, now that I think about it. The asians get a pass because lord knows they'd never put an asian accent on an asian character in an asian game.

And Kano is australian because the mortal kombat movie KICKED ASS.

WHY, DOA? WHY COULDN'T YOU BE LIKE MORTAL KOMBAT AND HAVE A GOOD MOVIE?!

Though on the plus side, Leon's scene was freaking AWESOME. Until he had to throw the fight because the writers forgot that Kasumi was supposed to somehow win her hopeless matchup against Leon the Barstool Breaker.

I wish Leon had that movie, as an anti air counter. Yaknow, just catch the opponent, then pull their limbs apart, out of the sockets, like how he just caught that barstool Kasumi threw at him and casually ripped it in half by the legs with no effort.
