This is definitely my favorite theme from DOA1 but I think Aya fits best if this was the theme for the Sky City Tokyo. I would put Ketsui no Toki for the Sakura stage.
Ketsui no Toki was my second choice for sakura to be honest, both fit the stages well, but I like Aya more :)
Do you think music should change on tiered stages? Like if a character fell from the Flow stage down to the Primal stage, a new soundtrack plays.
I'm with different music in multi tier stages, but only if the stage changes enough to be like a completely different stage like in the example you mentioned.

Ten pretty much hit the nail on the head. Hitomi has better strings and mix up potential but Ein excells in using bounds and zoning. plus Ein's 33T is infinitely better.

Kinda like when Flow goes to Primal.
Flow could have Hayabusa's The Shooted, while when they get Izuna'd into Primal it changes to the opponent's theme?

but you know what would be even more cool? the ability to change stage music as well. As much as I prefer having character theme's set to characters themselves some themes just fit Stages alot more.

Not necessarily the opponent's theme but it depends more on what theme you assigned for Primal.

Yeah, I wouldn't change the theme if you go down to just one floor of the same stage like Home or Street.

i know i'm several pages late for this...but I don't get all the hate for DOA Xtreme games.

Well, I get two things: The breast physics and the characters personalities and relationships being thrown out the window.

But in terms of being an actual game? I enjoyed it. It's really relaxing. It's a Resort Game, and I love it for that. Hell I enjoyed just watching the environments while sitting in the menu listening to beach music.

lol. Never noticed Raidou's theme was the character select.
That character select theme brings back a lot of memories. I remember randomly borrowing this game from my older brother's friend and playing this on the PS1. I remember trying to collect all the costumes. Yup, discovered DOA by total accident, but I'm glad I did.

Out of curiosity, do you guys/girls think that they will introduce characters with similar movesets to the VF characters to compensate for them possibly leaving in DOA6?

Though I can kinda see them shrugging off Akira & Sarah seeing as I suppose Rig is the speedy kick character, and Kokoro shares the same fighting style as Akira. But Pai & Jacky don't really have similar styles to anybody currently in the series.

If we do go with that DOA1 throwback set, I'd love...

Kasumi's ++ C4 (Future Ninja)
Either Bayman's DOA1 Scuba outfit or his DOA++C1
and Tina's cowgirl outfit.

Jacky is more or less similar to Jann Lee in term of concept (Jeet Kun Do), but yeah, I'm gonna miss Pai in DOA6, if she's not in the game anymore.
We need a newcomer with weak holds/jabs and her individuality. Which is.. ? How would you define it ?

Jann Lee shares Jacky's fighting style too. The only one without a fighting style counterpart is Pai since there is no one who is a Mizongyi practitioner. I don't think Rig and Kokoro are anywhere near on Akira and Sarah's level to replace them up. (also, Sarah's fighting style is MMA like Mila. Not just simple TKD).

I doubt they would create new characters with their fighting styles. No one from 5/5U received Chinese martial arts.

I'll lose my secondary main once Sarah leaves. :/

Well, Kokoro and Akira have the same style. Sarah and Rig do share similar move sets, but VF strictly lists it as generic Martial Arts, when it's clearly some variant of TKD due to Flamingo Stance. Jacky and Jann Lee straight up have the same fighting style, just both display it differently during fights. They could make a new character based off Pai's style, however, Leifang is sort of similar to her in that aspect.

At least when fighting her, she came across as a more refined version of Lei Fang.
