Happy New Year GTA DOA players! Hope you guys had a safe holiday and didn't get too shitfaced.
The first tournament of 2014 is approaching. Northern Battles #8 on Jan. 12th.

It'll have the same rules as the last tournament and will likely run in 240 HP, since there weren't any problems from it, even after reviewing the streamed matches. Let's start 2014 on the right foot and get a solid attendance for this tourney! Doesn't matter whether you're a novice, intermediate or a veteran. Just come out and play! The experience is better than anything you'll experience online.
Here's a recap of the details.
Venue: A&C World (702a Spadina Ave. Toronto, near Bloor and Spadina)
Doors open at 12PM
Registration starts at 12PM - 2PM (Tournaments will commence once the TD is ready)
Venue Fee: $10
Entry Fee: $5
All games are: Best 3 out of 5 sets
Double Elimination Format
Recommended Health setting: SMALLEST health (240 HP)
Note: Dojo & Home stage are possibly banned in 240 HP
Time Limit: 60 seconds
Character Lock for Winner only

Just a heads up that I should be at A&C tomorrow and Wednesday. Brandon said that he can come tomorrow as long as the weather is good in NY. Try to come out so that we can get a good variety of players tomorrow.
Just realized Sunday's my mom's birthday, so I won't be able to make it.

Coincidentally enough, my mom's birthday is on the 25th. She doesn't celebrate birthdays so I'll still be there most likely. I hope we get at least 8 people tomorrow. By the way, what were the names of the guy and his little brother from Mississauga? I keep forgetting. My brain keeps telling me it's Steve and Wolfgang, but I get the feeling that's wrong.

Possible change of plans. Just got a call from a friend of a my grandfather who may be able to get me a job which I want. My gramps said he would take my cv to him tomorrow when they go to church, but it's pretty damn obvious to me that the right thing to do would be to go myself. IIRC, the church services end around 12:00-12:30 and I don't know if I'll be able to make it before the tournament starts.
Come when you can man. We can delay the start till about 3ish or later if required.
GG's to @RoboJoe and Raymond earlier today. I'm disappointed that the tournament didn't run but I got in some very welcome practice against a couple VF characters. It was also cool to teach Momiji to a new player.

Haha,I happen to be that new player. Thanks again for helping me! I haven't had much time to play lately but I'm still working at it. I might be able to go to that tournament this weekend but most likely I'll just be watching.
