Alright I'm gonna have to agree with you there. I think they should've done that with other bosses too.
Tits everywhere would be nice.
Serious note, it was a very tough and memorable fight for me the first time I went through the game.

It is. I haven't died once to most bosses with my Sunsis build. It was definitely disappointing in that regard. That includes the final boss.
None topped the bosses of DS1 - especially those of the Artorias DLC. omfg
Shoutout to Smough and Ornstein for being fucking ridiculous, as well.

Eh, everyone who says DS2 is easier than DS makes me sad.
and I beat him first try. He was really easy. I was expecting it to get harder but maybe not?
Also, I saw an area in DS2 and I really hope it's a throwback to the original. The enemies look like those in Anor Londo.
I love that boss fight. It's different.
I've only killed the first boss (I think he's supposed to be first? Giant, skinny tall dude with a weird hole in his face?)

The setting of DS2 is the same as in DS1. Those are Anor Londo ruins.

Welly well then. Huge spoilers sound promising. Guess I'm gonna go there. Are you supposed to go there after the skinny dude? Or is this one of those bullshit Dark Souls things that you shouldn't go there until much later? : (
It's another starter area. From Medula, rather than going down into the forest, go between where the blacksmith and Shalquar are, down the tunnel to where there is a gate, partially submerged in water. There is a little handle you pull to the left side of the gate to open the area.
New game plus will provide you more and more hints of that super-duper spoiler.

Yeah I know where it is because I got there already, just didn't of I was supposed to be there, haha.
So in DS2 you kinda have to play NG+ in order to get to know more about the story? I mostly just stopped when I "completed" my characters in DS.
You can go there after you beat the first boss if you like. It's allegedly the slightly harder than route than the alternative, but it's definitely manageable. And honestly, I think it's the easier of the two paths.

Yup. Your two options are basically:
Path 1) Really annoying boss, then some godly loot, then a pushover path for a bit.
Path 2) Moderate-to-easy difficulty path, two pushover bosses, some very useful loot, then the same path as Path 1.
Path 2 is the Heide's Tower of Flame route, ie: going down those stairs from Majula.
