But a regular playthrough of DS2 is a cakewalk, save optional fights. =/

Not when you're used to using hardcore rushing strats in DS. I'm starting to think fall damage in DS2 has killed me more than bosses in DS. I think I might need than ring that reduces fall damage. This is bad.

There is the Silvercat ring, the cat pants (no clue how to get them to unlock, bought them very late game), Lion Warrior set, and I think one of the Jester pieces reduces fall damage. Oh, and a spell. Plenty of options. Im fine with fall damage after finding out Poison and Toxic are by far the worst things to be inflicted with.

I think this SL3 wanderer run on DS is very possible. Just destroyed Quelaag and I'm sure tbe Iron Golem won't be a problem. (Lolol like he ever was)

Fun thing about a low level (/no level up) playthrough is that you can use things that most people would never use on a regular playthrough. Like power within, red tearstone ring and even rings that give you an extra attunement slot (some characters start at zero so it's a big difference). You also can't equip your usual poise armor sets because they're sinply too heavy. Not to mention you have limited weapon options but still very good ones.

I highly suggest you try this. It's hella tight.

So I beat the game and I'm a confused as heck at the ending.
What the hell does sitting on the throne do? Why was it there, and why was the area caked in the residue that was in the Kiln of the First Flame? Did me sitting on the throne make me rekindle the flame again? Why was the Lordvessel in the mansion, and why was it shattered? What the hell did the flames on the floor mean?

Most of the questions that you raised are still unanswered, but ill try to explain what i can. So the theme for the game is basically "Doing things without really knowing why" Multiple characters in the game will repeat this to you as u exhaust their dialogue. I cant explain all because i don't have much answers, but i have a video that will surely help you! And his channel covers ALL the Dark Souls Lore!!
