Then how about making a new version or enough modifications that make it clearly different from the original? Although I guess that could still get messy as people could basically copy other people's previous designs and just modify them.

Tell that to the people who submitted a lot of Arabian/Genie-themed Lisa and Military Mila entries from the first contest. They honestly felt like they have given up in creating a unique outfit because they were following one motif.

I wanna make a 70's-style rollerskating outfit for Tina. I'd have to make it so her rollerskates were tied to her side unfortunately since I don't know how TN could possible make it work with her wearing them during a fight.

Only gonna start making it if there is indeed another costume contest and TN officially announces it.

Edit- now that I think about it, Tina or Mila would look pretty good in a roller derby outfit.

Are you sure that the Morrighan/Lilith tribute outfits are recolors of the white (and black version) one in the right? Because looking to the different boots and to the sleeves missing of the veil (but I could be wrong on it) seems to me that the outfits on the left could be a "C4" for Nyotengu.

Sigma and Black are the fairest In the series I wouldn't suggest the others because you have to start dealing with a lot BS and split second reactions which you won't be prepared for unless you're experienced with NG.
