That's the funny thing, I'm not speaking for the Eastern fans, I'm just pointing out exactly what we did and how that negatively affected us as a whole.
I remember hearing about something from Hideki Kamiya's Twitter account as someone asked him if the Japanese fans are just as bad as Western fans in irritating the fuck out of him. His response was pretty much "They are more polite about their issues". That is what I'm talking about.
"We", though? I'm really starting to reject this concept of "Japanese" fans versus "Western" fans because "Western means any different number of countries with a hell of a lot larger group than Japan. I'm just supposed to be grouped in with whatever asshat who decides to spout garbage...from random country I've never even visited? Well, of course the probability of running into an asshat is higher if you listen to "the West" because the sample size is that much greater. We can talk about cultural differences and such but even then...people from all of these different countries can't possibly be some kind of hive mind. Are they? Are our views really so similar that it might as well just be one group? Or maybe is just being looked at as Japanese and non-Japanese...?
I dunno. But, as I said before, if your views are not being represented, then speaking up is necessary. "We" need to start outnumbering people who deign to be rude and obnoxious as opposed to civil. Because I'd rather not be painted with that brush when I can't control the infinite number of asshats (who don't even come to this site) who happen to be from "the West".
And it's "Nyotengu". There is no extended "o" sound or anything. I don't even know who these supposed "Western" fans are who have a problem with the name, either...
