Just realized LR will coexist with X3 since TN plans on supporting it until at least spring. I wonder if there will be any crossover DLC outfits between games

Looks like this is the last DLC that will be released for 360/PS3.

After consideration on the future of DLC for the previous generation consoles, the company had decided that since they’ve already reached the limit for the hardware as far as how much content they could add to it via DLC, it would be for the best to end it here. The game will continue getting DLC content on the other versions.

Well, that is so sad
So, the PS3 and X360 owner won't have the DLC character which is coming in 2016 neither...

Any chances of Team Ninja doing another costume design contest but a Non-Halloween like the one where the winning outfits were used for the release of Last Round? I have an idea for a casual outfit for Sarah. Where she wears a denim jacket and denim pants with brown/black boots. And the inner shirt is a pink/red turtleneck and she has sunglasses either propped up on her head or hanging on the neck part of the turtle neck.

Is it possible to still submit outfit ideas to Team Ninja in hopes of making it into the game without there being a contest?

It's always possible, either through Facebook, Email or Twitter, but unless there is an official contest, I think for legal reasons, they would be reluctant to automatically do that so they don't get sued for doing so without permission.

Personally, from what I've seen with other developers, modding is the best unofficial channel because 1) It shows that the community is willing to do work to start the idea 2) it allows 'testing the waters' to see if an idea is popular enough to make money.

On occasion developers have implemented community mods, but usually only once the idea has a enough popularity. So really my recommendation is to undertake steps to turn a concept into a reality and then find a way to promote it or get people to like it. :) You can always promote a piece of artwork as well, but outside of a contest or huge community support, I think it'll be more challenging.

There are a lot of community members who have made great concept art, I think that is why TN even started the contests to begin with.

By the way...the overhauled boob mechanics for DOAX3 look actually less obvious and over the top and thus more realistic than ever. Nice. :) I was never a fan of the ridiculous bouncing and swaying water bombs they had before.

I honestly believe no one was, it was mainly just laughing at how ridiculous it was rather than being titillating as Itagaki thought it was...

Just got back to see the new Halloween dlc released. None of mine won (I'll mourn for you orange jelly alpha) but there were a lot of good picks.

Actually this is just what happened for the old games. Throughout the years Tecmo accepted DoA fanarts of the fans on the DoA fan club (Japanese site), and some of these ended to be used for costumes realized in DoA2U, DoAXBV and DoA4 (not sure about DoA3 and DoAX2). I don't know if fans knew or less of the possibility to see their ideas used for costumes, but surely the background for the choice wasn't a contest.

I remember the mention of fan works included in the past, but I didn't realize there wasn't any form of contest or structure to them. I guess I'm skewing my perspective a bit since I've interacted some key figures in the game industry briefly and some wouldn't give the time of day 'supposedly' due to legal concerns. I know TN's community reps aren't like that, but for more corporate developers there is sometimes a concern of using something not approved. The potential legal backlash could be problematic if not handled correctly, so the just choose to avoid the problem altogether.

2. Hayate :hayate:

4. Honoka :honoka:

Since when does a Once Upon a Time pack be all about Disney? I really dislike this recent disneyfication...and that's coming from a big Disney fan. XD
