Well I don't know, it's just a random supposition. I think it's time to announce their second newcomer, one month before the release, but maybe it's still a bit early.
Helena VS Gen Fu and then Helena VS Mila would make sense in a trailer, especially if Helena and Mila are together on the screen. Well, I know it's not definitive, but I have the feeling "tag partners"/"linked characters" are not only top/bottom on that screen, but also left/right (look at Helena/Kokoro, Tina/Lisa).
That would mean Mila has something to do with Helena, and since they generally (but not always) revealed characters that were linked (Zack/Lei Fang in the circus, because of Story Mode, Brad/Eliot who are friends, Bayman/Christie, who are sexy rivals, Christie/Rig with that mysterious dialogue), I think officially revealing Helena's render and Mila (and probably Gen Fu) in Famitsu would make sense.
And Pai is still a mystery. They probably will keep her for TGS.
But that's just a supposition, again. Maybe we won't have anything tomorrow..

Can't forget Lisa, oops....I mean La Mariposa, remember they keep calling her this "mysterious woman" >_> I would utterly laugh SO hard if they officially "revealed" her and trolled the shit out of the fanbase LOL.
Kokoro is two spaces over to the right, right above Akira in the photo, so it's not Kokoro.

Good point. This time around TN has said characters will be compatible with multiple tag partners so the select screen may not be as much of a dead giveaway as in previous releases. IF, and that's a big IF, this is a preview of the final screen and Gen Fu makes the cut it would mean he'd have to be near Eliot, Brad, and/or Helena according to the old setups.
Looks about right. I took the latest character select screen and blurred and desaturated the icons in order to get them to match and they do.
In addition, they added more character slots, which was obviously going to happen. With two extra slots on each side then that brings the total number slots to 24, that includes a random however.
Edit: Looking closer, it seems like there's a slot under Akira for something... Wasn't there mention of a custom random feature?
I assumed that the tatami stage was "Dojo" but this looks like it might be it below. In addition, they're playing on largest life. For shame, Team Ninja...

Looks like a disused dojo to me. Would be nice if Jann Lee's reason for entering the tournament was to rebuy. That would give that tough guy more sensibility.
