Finally a huge patch (over 2gb) is coming after the pretty glitchy Blood and Wine. It's already out on Steam and should hit consoles shortly. Here are the patch notes:
http://wpc.4d7d.edgecastcdn.net/004D7D/mkt/document/Changelog-1.22-ENG_bt9orxuyou.pdf

Glitches/bugs I personally encountered and that will be finally fixed with this patch:

- Roach lost his tail permanently. XD
- Lag in the inventory screen.
- There was no art dealer in Beauclair.
- Parts of the exploding enemies levitated mid air after being defeated.
- Background music would sometimes completely stop or loop again and again.
- Invulnerable Golem in the Hearts of Stone area.
- Enemies levels did not upscale properly
- The Viper armor would turn bright red on the armor stands.
- total play time display was messed up

Yeah, I encountered quite a bit, but nothing game breaking, phew!

@Jadeinchains, levitating guest characters are unfortunately not mentioned in the patch notes. I hope they fixed those too. :(

Lol, I didn't even notice this. XD

Seriously, I have the feeling you weren't really willing to invest yourself in The Witcher in the first place, which is a shame. :( Cheating on experience and money isn't really a must in other games you play, or is it?
Set the difficulty to easy and do just a couple of side quests (which are actually fun in this game) beside the story and the game is a walk in park from start to finish, believe me. The first Hearts of Stone boss was the only one I ever died to. I died much more often by stupidly falling from 5m cliffs.
It also only seems superficially hard to earn money in the game. There is really tons of loot. But most people don't get the idea to actually sell or dismantle and sell it. It won't make you a millionaire (which you have to be for Toussaint, which is a very fancy country, lol) but you'll get by just perfectly.

I don't want to get by, I want to be a rich demigod and I don't want to spend 700 hours grinding 5exp at a time fighting monsters that apparently rarely show up to get to the level cap. Generally when it comes to exploits I leave them be and play through the main story without them then come back to them for late or post game but getting older I'm becoming more impatient if I'm not in love with a game (which I'm not yet with this one).

Guess I won't be downloading this patch, was nice of them to include those in the patch notes rather than stealth-fixing them though it wasn't nice to remove optional exploits from a game that doesn't have multiplayer

And I thought I was an impatient and lazy casual. XD

Thanks for the heads up. Just did 900 000 from the money glitch. That oughta get me the vineyard and all the witcher gear I want.

Lol, that is more than enough. (Why didn't you make 1 million, just for the sake of it? XD) It cost me about 200k to upgrade the vineyard and craft all the armors I liked. Dyeing your armor can get pretty pricey. It's 1000 a bottle of dye for just one piece. (But you can find rare recipes for dye to make it yourself.)

@Jadeinchains, did you craft the Grandmaster Wolven Armor?

Great in-detail discussion about the story and themes of the Hearts of Stone expansion and why it is one of the best written stories in recent video gaming:

If you haven't played the expansion yet, there are of course going to be massive spoilers. ;)

Are you getting that Gwent game that they showed at E3? I don't think I will but I can understand why they'd make one considering all of a sudden everyone's going crazy over virtual card games!

Nope, as I said, I couldn't get into it, even though I tried. :/ Maybe if I fully grasped how the game worked I would feel different. XD

Yeah I always lose when I try to play it since I just don't understand how I'm supposed to play it, I don't really like card games like this anyway.

also hate gwent since i have no interest in card games in real life or videogames so i just use console commands to auto win all gwent matches. its a shame it replaced the dice game from the first two witcher games as it was far more enjoyable

The new patch, that is supposed to fix all the Blood and Wine bugs, is up. Apparently the whole day already. Man, if I had known I would have downloaded it earlier. :/ It's a whopping 3,2 gb big! O:

I was afraid going to that many digits would break something......

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Something did break. So made my peace with the new update coming and went to Level 60 through the XP glitch, then finished the quest. Then got 900 000 coins through the money glitch. Then spent some time getting all the Grandmaster schematics. Then the update came... Didn't play for a few days cause work, life and all that, but got real comfy yesterday and set out to start exploring the missions of Tuoissant, but no missions will load anymore. Any mission I go to will not be updated, and Milton is missing! I had only killed the giant and the next mission is follow Milton and look at the bodies, but the marker for Milton takes me now to another place entirely and no Milton. Managed to find where the real start is and went there, but all that's there is his horse.

Luckily I do have a working save before I did the XP and money exploit that work, but man such a waste :( :( :(

Edit:
Update 1.23 that came today fixes it. That's some timing. Milton was still missing, but now when I went to the place we would end up, the quest updated.
Whew

Edit 2:
This is how we celebrate :)
