Would've preferred priest Hayabusa, but that one does not have a mask, so it's out for TN. Still, as I said, nice, definitely better than the werewolf.

One thing though... it's not particularly halloween-ish Or is it related to some thing in Japanese culture I don't know?

They're not going to remove the thigh window. I mean look at what they gave Ein for halloween last year.

They probably won't even give him an ass underneath the pants. If something can't be seen it's usually not put on the model in DOA. There are even times where they remove stuff you can see (for example chunks of Eliot's head in his muskateer outfit)

i don't think TN would go as far as make those designs pantsless but seeing as how they choose those particular designs and how they clearly work to make the fan designs look good and accurate in game, everything about the original design will likely carry over. It's only fair that the guys get some impracticaly revealing outfits as well.

I feel bad for people that designed actual Halloween outfits for Hayate and Ryu and TN just takes the pretty Japanese/fantasy costumes, both by the same designer. :/

Ugh, I'm not happy with Hayate for multiple reasons.
Firstly it's not a Halloween costume (neither was Ryus)
Second, it more or less a colour swap of Ryu.
Thirdly, with all the entries they get, I don't think it's fair for the same person to win multiple times. That was the biggest problem last year.

Oh well. It is what it is. Bring on the next reveal.

I thinks it's acceptable as a Halloween costume. Where I live, whilst probably 75% of costumes are "scary", the rest are just fancy dress. Little girls dressed as princesses, boys as robots. Not "Halloween" costume per say, but perfectly fine. If somebody came to my door as a banana I'd laugh and still hand out candy. I think Halloween is getting more and more "fancy dress".

Ryu and Hayate look like genuine outfits they'd wear day to day. That's my issue. They'd be great is a casual costume contest as I think these are something those characters would wear.

I understand your gripes, but I honestly can't complain this time. They look sexy and cool, and Ryu hardly gets sexy and cool outfits... Hayate is an outfit I genuinely like too, and he is far from being among my favorite characters.

Maybe I'd understand this more if I entered the contest. It *does* gripe me that the artist is the same, but for some reason TN really likes to give Ryu and Hayate matching outfits. It happened in the last two years, too.

Still, I doubt they want to prevent the same artist getting multiple wins, with the multiple submissions deal and no more fan voting :/

I just don't really like it, the whole zombie groom aesthetic isn't really my thing, I was hoping for something along the lines of maybe his pirate costume? That or probably what Argentus had drawn for him for the cool vibe

Jk, jk, if I have to be honest... I'm not into the LBF in -that- way, and I don't like the NG3 shirtless outfit that much either. They look cool, but not sexy, at least to me *shrugs*.
I would probably change my mind on the LBF if Ryu showed his face and had loose hair, but hey.

Although you did remind me that he does need cool outfits too.
I just can't have enough of teh Ryu.
