There are going to be scrubs, and scrubs are going to complain. I'm a scrub! However, I think TN is at least partly to blame -- maybe even mostly. They had a vision of making an accessible -- yet deeply strategic -- fighting game, but didn't clue scrubs in on the nuances of the characters or the gameplay. You'll hear tales of a triangle system -- which I love BTW -- that offers options to all, not just the main protagonist. * cough, Ryu cough cough * Then leaves them to their own devices, with this faulty concept of, 'when someone strikes you, try and counter, it's all part of the system' approach to combat. There is no mention of slow escaping, and if you happen across the term, WTF does it mean. People also aren't told that, everyone doesn't adhere to the triangle system (Bayman).
We need more than bars for strikes and throws. Is he a rush-down fighter or poking fighter? WTF is slow escaping and when/why should I use it? A bit more info on mechanics and you'll reduce the number of uninformed opinions.
