1) Ninjas do not get excused for using fictional styles of ninjitsu, any more than Zack is excused for being a self taught muay thai fighter.
2) Everyone is doing high flying, stylized moves with zero regard for physics. Seeing the strongest character send people flying fits in just fine, especially since you get the same results from anyone else doing a simple punch or kick.
3) Juggles are not a necessity, they are simply an optional tool, like any other attack option.
4) I will grant you that DOA is the closest thing to an actual fight we can get, but thats even more reason to include Leon, since he's got one of the more practical movesets.
5) Mila has a similar "realistic" fighting style to Leon and Bayman, but just like Bayman and Leon, she too can send people flying with little effort.
6) Leon is not supposed to be doing Sambo. He was back when he was a Bayman replacement in DOA2, but by DOA4, he is different enough that it warrants not being called Sambo anymore. What it is, I don't know, but he's much more direct than that now.
1) uhm, yes they do. lol They use a FICTIONAL STYLE. Muay Thai is, how do u say it again? Oh yea, REAL. U cant have a person supposedly doing 'Muay Thai' and then make half their moveset like Brads Zui Quan because it doesn't make any sense. Zacks move set is fairly like actual muay thai anyway apart from the airborne sonic the hedgehog and the jumping splits which is more of a taekwondo thing.
2) If you change Leons supposed style to something else then it comes CLOSE to making sense. CLOSE. If Leon is a paramilitary fighter he should have paramilitary techniques. Do you know what most world military's teach? Because I can assure you they don't teach spear throwing. If you changed him so that he's no longer paramilitary and no longer does sambo, then I agree you could keep the move set. That being said, if u did those 2 things I dont really think he'd be Leon anymore anyway.
3) Juggles are the most used source of guaranteed damage. Guaranteed damage is essentially what sets a good player apart from a bad player in this game. Juggles are pretty necessary to doa.
4) I never said doa is the closest to an actual fight u can get. That'd be VF. DOA has characters with the closest movesets to the martial arts they represent, more significantly with characters like brad Wong, Christie, Mila, Rig, etc. I am of course excluding the ninjas from this as they use a fictional style. The physics and general game play of VF is much more like a real fight than DOA.
5) No the hell she doesn't. lol Mila does MMA. MMA is not the same as Sambo. MMA is a mixture of the more basic techniques of all the common martial arts blended into a cage match. Sambo is a paramilitary art used in war zones designed not to tap people out but to straight up break their leg in half. Sambo is more of a mixture of Judo, greco roman wrestling, Russian folk wrestling and Muay Thai. It's specific and focused on throws locks elbows and knees. MMA in not specific. It isn't concentrated on specific principles. She has a realistic style, yes, but that same style is not very much like Sambo if you know about both. Also she can 'send people flying with little effort' because of the nature of doa's physics. Why do you assume unrealistic physics warrants unrealistic move sets which are claimed as a form of actual martial art? Thats ridiculous.
6) When have the game developers ever said Leon does anything other than Sambo? About half his moves are actual Sambo and the other half are ridiculous. If he's not doing Sambo why is half his move set still Sambo and why didn't TN inform us of his random style change? Also how the hell could he know anything else given the story?
