Oh ok. Also what does "SoB" and "OT"? Mean? I guess I'm not up on NG terms.
SoB=Steel on Bone: If you use a heavy attack when an enemies' hands glow red (indicating he is going for a grab), you can intercept it and get a 1-hit kill (followed by two free successive kills of nearby enemies). This also raises karma, but unfortunately due to the auto-targeting system it can be very finnicky (at least in my experience). Introduced with NG3, changed drastically for RE.

OT=Obliteration technique: After an enemy has lost a limb, you can use a heavy attack to enter a cool finisher move that kills them. If they have lost two limbs, they will instantly die, however, and an OT can't be performed. Introduced in NG2, removed in NG3, and back in RE.

Bonus...
UT=Ultimate Technique: Hold down the heavy attack for several seconds to charge a powerful attack string that theoretically gives you invincibility frames and cannot be interrupted, dealing massive damage. Introduced in NG1, though it's current form was first seen in Black. In NG2, removed from 3 (basically) and back in RE.

edit: That's it. I did it. Save RPG guys, alchemists, and a few of those invisible guys who absolutely refused to use any red attacks, I killed literally everyone with SoB. The result? 223318 Karma. A rank. Again. SIGH

I think I'm just going to wait for the actual game rather than deal with all this crap in not going to spend hours trying to 100% a demo -_-

So it says we keep he skills unlocked errr which set cause it changes from each difficultly

Anyone got a DLC wish list? Mine is...
Rachel
Vigoorian Flail(I don't actually use them much, but its become one of Ryu's iconic weapons)
Dabilhro
Kitetsu

Prince Adon

Definitely want Rachel playable. If that happens it'd be 100.

Edit: Also if you unlock Kasumi in the demo will she be playable in the full game?

I got it! Whoo! /totallylatetotheparty
Well, for those of you who are still trying to get it but struggling with the Karma like I was, the issue was that my multiplier wasn't getting high enough because enemies wouldn't use their red grabs until the multiplier died out. The trick that worked for me was to play taunt the AI into risking them by literally not moving at all and not blocking at the same time. As you can guess, in MN this is rather dangerous. But, it does cause them to attempt grabs more, and was ultimately the way I was able to get it. Thanks again to Cyber and g-gill for all your tips and help.

So, in the very brief time I've played with Kasumi... am I the only one who thinks she's OP? I mean seriously, she has more tools and tricks than even Ryu, her strikes are faster and seem to de-limb better, she totally has the best ranged options in the game, her UT absolutely RENDS the battlefield... she seems to do everything better than everyone. I really hope there's something I'm missing.
That said, she is really fun... just in an awkward guilty sorta way (note that my time with her has been very short, and limited to only normal mode; it's late and I need sleep).

Anyone got a DLC wish list?
1. Ryu's DOA Throwback costume
2. Dabilaharo
3. Vigoorian Flails
4. Hayate
5. Full campaign co-op
6. "Joe's armor" (DOA5 C3 for Ryu)
7. That Red/White costume Kasumi has in DOA1-4
8. Legendary Black Falcon - NG2
9. Tonfas
10. Ayane's Bow/Purple dress
11. More Ninja Trials
12. Removal of alchemists from the game
13. Anything but Rachel
14. Rachel

Edit: Also if you unlock Kasumi in the demo will she be playable in the full game?
I think Kasumi will be playable in the main game as soon as you unlock Chapter Challenge, regardless of whether you got her in the demo (ie: just beat the game's campaign once on the respective difficulty).

So much Rachel hate lol

surprised someone else wants the Dabilahro(however the fuck you spell/pronounce it)
Enmas Fang was alright but both that and the Sythe just don't have the same feeling of weight/power that made you feel like a badass.

A lot of people here actually like Rachel a good bit. I'm just not one of them.

I dunno, man. The Scythe didn't feel as "heavy" but in terms of sheer awesomeness, the scythe was utterly beautiful.
But yeah, agree on Emna's. Didn't even look like a weapon. -_- Still, I loved that fighting style/moveset. Was sad to see it gone from NG2 (360), and was both glad and sad when they added Emna's. We've never had the Dabilahro with proper de-limbing/gore. I'd imagine it would be amazing in RE.

Yea, I mean I only really played the demo of NG2Σ but Enma's Fang wasn't as satisfying as Dabilahro because to me it felt as if it's focus had been lost. When I remember Dabilahro, I think [CRUSH] despite it being a sword. Enma's Fang seems to move somewhere more along the lines of "pummel" with all the new strings and rotation type stuff it offered.

The Dragon Sword (as always) felt great. It was basic, fun, and and versatile, but more importantly, it fulfilled its focus: being a balanced weapon but not [so] balanced that it was bland and tasteless. It was balanced to the point where if you simply wanted to pick up a weapon and go, it would be there for you.

The Blade of the Archfiend/Dragon's Fang and Tiger's Claw were a great edition to NGΣ. It was some what obvious that their focus was DPS, but it wasn't necessarily that they did a bad job at this, but the swords felt limited on options. NG2Σ apparently fixed that so I've seen, but it definitely feels that way in the NG3RE Demo. They definitely fulfill their focus.

I'd hope they meet a good mid-point between Dabilahro and Enma that still makes it efficient to use seriously.

The bonuses you get for health and time are negligible so don't bother worrying about them. Now my method was different than g-gill's in that I never attacked at all short of doing a SoB. Once the multiplier hit 3.0 I immediately unleashed my stored up UT to score 3,000+ karma per kill in it, then start again. If you aren't consistently getting the multiplier to 3.0 it's because you're burning your UT which zeroes it out. g-gill I believe de-limbs the enemies first, most likely to bait out their desperation grabs to SoB them, but I think the risk is too high for that. All it takes is an off-screen enemy to guard-stun you for an extra second and you eat their attack. ON MN that's death.

Really there's no trick to it other than taking your time. With Ayane I cleared 300,000 karma on all difficulties with the end of level bonuses by doing it that way. On Ryu's level, don't forget to purposefully jump down to where you came from before doing the kunai climb. There's another battle down there that you won't get if you don't miss a wall run or purposefully jump down.

Yea that's what I basically did, it's actually very safe to delimb the white terrorist because there grab while delimbed is actually slower than there normal grab

Btw I read that to get S rank you need 250k karma

Happy to see that according to your judgement Razor's Edge seems to be a really step forward compared with NG3 and much more in line with its predecessors :) Sadly my gold is expired, so I will have to wait some days before to be able to play with the demo.

I have a question for you: seeing the first trailers of Kasumi DLC for Razor's Edge Wii version, many people judged her too much similar to Ryu gameplay, compared to the rest of additional characters of the series.
Playing with her has given you confirmation or less of it? Is Kasumi's moveset and way to play enough unique?

Her play style is similar to ryu but she plays differently

She has a very useful move in the demo which can lunch a blocked or a enemy you just hit into the air

Thanks, but this is a real enigmatic answer XD

A little more specifically? Maybe do you mean that the moves are similar but that the use of them is different from Ryu?

I've never been a fan of the twin swords they just feel weird to me

I want a weapon to give me a similar move to the True Dragon Gleam the thing was annoying to start and inefficient as hell(one small enemy only) but it was just so awesome I couldn't resist doing it.it was also a lot of fun to post Gifs of when Clouds Omnislash from AC "lol bitch please this is how its done"

I think he had something simular with the Falcon Tallons but I dropped the combo and now I can't remmember what I did :(

Blasphemy. The True Dragon Sword has always been the coolest, most stylish and awesome weapon in the series! :p

She has the pros of everyone, so yeah. She kinda plays like a better Ryu. She feels different enough to me though that she's not boring/a re-hash.

Sakura modai is broken. Kasumi is definitely OP and she's insanely fun because of it.
Welcome to the club, Brute.
lol
Well, that answers that, I guess.

I really hope they buffed Momiji since Sigma 2, 'cause yeah... she was rather inept in that one.
