I would prefer Irene, but before that someone said it to me I know that Rachel have a fanbase much more big, so her presence in the game it's really unlikely until Rachel is out from DoA... anyway I would be happy to see again playable the blonde fiend hunter, considered like she was replaced by Kasumi in NG3:RE

Well, now we are talking about Rachel just because we know with certainty that Momiji was added to the roster, surely the most popular girl born from the NG series: like we can see, every character is tied to its popularity.

About Irene I don't think that she'll be forgotten me too, considered like TN built on purpose a new in-game model for her just to insert the girl in the cutscenes of DoA Dimensions, and how this is happened again for Razor's Edge. If not now, we will see her playbale in a next future, I'm sure about it

I agree, I like Virtua Fighter but I think that this reasoning should have the priority for a not crossover game.

Seriously, with the three we got in vanilla it's more than enough. I'd like to see Rachel myself or a completely new fighter like Mila and Rig but right now the most important for me is Ein.

I totally agree on this one. I was a little upset with only two new characters, game could use a bit more original DOA5 characters. There's actually a few more Ninja Gaiden characters that could actually work, I think this guy should be considered, like his style can be Crane or Mantis and he'll be a another old man bad donkey ass type!
