    you know what would be totally hilarious? if there was no new girl in doa6, we get a couple more dudes and team ninja goes "yep, that's your lot, enjoy!"

    It would mostly piss off the Japanese fanbase, which is a pretty large chunk of DOA's fanbase. They care about the "waifus" more than the Western fans. Hence why Marie Rose & Honoka mostly get promoted at Japanese events.

    maybe i haven't realized before, but if you took of the waifus of DOA you kill a huge part of the DOA fanbase and probably kill the franchise too. DOA girls are more relevant to the franchise as selling point than tournaments. That's how relevant they are (and that's why SF5 is having lots of waifus and skimpy outfits, too.)

    Iirc most characters when it comes to DW, SW and DOA were chosen to be a part of Warriors All-Stars by their popularity. Both Marie Rose and Honoka made it in along with none other than Kasumi(I mean, Ayane made it in too, but for some reason she is said to be a Ninja Gaiden character, even though she was first playable in Sigma 2). So yeah, girls in DOA are probably the most important.

    Seems like the best thing 2 do right when you reversal edge'd atm is to go for a vertical or a crouch, since most ppl are just mashing A, I imagine that'll change with time

    Thank goodness U can reset training mode positions without the use of a touchpad in SC6, hate that crap in fighting games

    As sum1 who uses 3rd party controllers with no touchpad functionality this is a godsend, love it in doa5 and I love it in sc6!

    Funnily enough, even my gen fu hasn't been performing well as of laye, the only 2 characters that being me victory these days are honoka and ein, which is so tragic

    And if that means costumes will be more expensive then so be it, a welcome trade off. I mean hell I'm one of the fools who actually bought one of those season passes to get 1 costume so u know I'm crazy and would drop some dosh for a look I really like

    Well those 70-ish costumes from Ayane & Kasumi still look better than Tekken 7 or SoulCalibur VI's visuals. Whether they're "good" or not is subjective. And yeah, DOA5's DLC costumes are still relatively cheaper than the costumes in other fighters by comparison.

    So, doa5 Ein mains, who are you going to main in doa6? Hayate, Hitomi, or a completely different character?

    Would go with Hitomi if I had to choose. Something about Hayate just keeps me from wanting to touch him. Can't put my finger on it...

    I say neither, I only liked hayate in doa3 (never liked the way he played in doa4 or doa5) and I'm physically incapable of playing hitomi ( she's so similar to ein that I just ending playing her like she's ein, ignoring her own stuff), so I'm going for the whole new character route, Diego looks like my type of guy and nyo is comming back so I have those 2 to look forward to at least

    See, I have the opposite problem with Hitomi... in that I feel she's too different from Ein in that I try to do stuff I'd do as Ein but it won't work cuz she doesn't have it or because her move has different properties. (Good examples being 1K and 46P)

    been watching alot of the newish doa6 footage, and there seem to be alot of instances where the sidestep attack is putting the sidestepper right behind the opponent, or dam near close to it

    I thought at EVO'18 it looked like normal sidesteps can almost circle behind opponents too. Either way, I like having an SS that doesn't get fucked by "linear" attacks anymore.
