  • *New Switches are going to have a longer battery life* That's cool and all but the coolest thing would be a "Pro" version to the Switch, probably wouldn't be too hard to make them either.

There's no real way to prevent that. Toxicity will always be present in an online environment. It just makes it harder to set up sessions with friends since I have to find other ways to communicate with them besides a basic message. Kinda makes the friend list pointless.

I thought this updated model had a marginal spec update. Like, nothing crazy but a slight bump. No?

I mean, you can talk with your friends.....via a phone app, which was probably the dumbest thing they came up with when it comes to anything Switch, maybe even Nintendo related...or not, since Labo exists.
Even though Arc System Works make great games, I have to say that they could handle the character roster of their games better these days: BBTag could've had many guest characters, to the point where it could've been the Smash of Anime (fgs), yet there are only 5, team RBWY and only 1 from Arcana Heart and Kill la Kill: IF only has 10 characters at start, with 2 being dual-wielding forms of the protags.

True, though I imagine that ArcSys doesn't have nearly the resources that Nintendo has to do a similar scale of collabs. With that said, I really want Qrow, Adam & Cinder in BBTAG haha.

You're not wrong, getting tons of different characters might not have been worth it when it comes to costs and the money they'll get out of the bought dlc's. Still, would've been nice to have some more characters from RWBY and especially Arcana Heart. Pre-season 4 Cinder was cool and would make quite the evil tag team with Hazama or Nine, Qrow would have probably been the best addition out of all RWBY characters.
This Steam Grand Prix thing is so rigged now its not even funny....which makes sense since everyone jumped into team Corgi when people saw them winning easily over the rest of the competition. Still, overall the 5th place team ended up 1st in the fourth race, and the 1st place team ended up 5th now, 2nd place team ends up being 4th, its just so bad.
Games that I hope will make it to Steam one day: Ninja Gaiden trilogy, Tekken Tag Tournament HD, DOA1-4, Ratchet trilogy and Spiderman (unlikely, I know, still, Sunset Overdrive is on PC), any Naughty Dog game (Uncharted or Jak mainly though).
Random opinion about KT games: The only KT games that have a decent story is Nights of Azure 1&2 (maybe Blue Reflection as well? Haven't played it yet) and pre-DOA6 DOA.

DOA5's story was ok for me, didn't find too many things wrong about it. Haven't seen or played much of DOA6's story mode but I think I'll be doing that soon in order to see how bad it is, since most people say that it is very bad.

I think DOA's story is better appreciated when the writers themselves embrace the silliness of it all. But even with that said, theyre still holding back on lore expansion. Nyotengu was a perfect opportunity to introduce a new world to the fans, and maybe even begin a cross-narrative with the NG series.

Actually I liked DOA's story best when it actually took itself a little seriously like with DOA3's story for Ayane (and to a lesser extent, DOA4's story for Ayane/Helena). Upon reflection DOA5's story was ok, but felt like a mess at times. DOA6's story is an abomination and shows that the current Team NINJA can't write a good story to save their lives.
Wow, Xbox's E3 was a bit underwhelming. The two big things about it were Keanu in Cyberpunk and PSO2, the rest was ok but not mindblowing. Sony and Nintendo can potentially outperform Xbox relatively easy. We'll see soon what they can bring to the table.

Sony will outperform Microsoft easily like they almost always do, but Nintendo will have to bring it to genuinely top Microsoft. Switch versus Scarlett will be something for instance.

Yeah but probably later on, since Sony won't appear this year for some reason. However, I can expect them coming up with something something new real soon, I really doubt that they're going to let the competition get in so many new announcements without announcing something themselves shortly after that.

Sony will do their own Playstation conference to steal Microsoft's thunder. Nintendo will do their own thing. Sony doesn't need E3 to drum up interest.
Yo, KH3 Re:Mind DLC having playable Riku, Aqua and my boy Roxas, Mai and Kula trailers for DOA6 and they look sick and the juicy E3 trailers of many, many games? What a time to be alive.
There's only one thing Sony needs to do in order to make Playstation the best out of all consoles thus beating Nintendo and Xbox: PS5 (when it gets announced) backwards compatible with PS1-4 games. We know that the PS5 will be backwards compatible with ps4 games but if they end up making all of the older Playstation console games compatible, then that would be a huge selling point for it imo.

It is, but I'm just saying don't count on PS5 being able to natively play PS1/2/3 games.

Hmm... PS5 could easily beat out the 9th gen Xbox and the Switch if Sony just continues to churn out the best game support between the 3. Though yes, backwards compatibility would be nice. Like has been implied, PS4 BC is likely, though PS3 will not unfortunately. And yes, fuck PS Now. A huge crock of shit from Sony.
I actually like that there are a few players that play the older fighting games in the series (like TMM's Tekken X revisited videos) and they even do analysis videos on them, despite them streaming the newest entry in their beloved fighting game franchise most of the times. Makes me realize just how much of a history fighting games have already and the legacy that they're going to leave behind.
Bayonetta 1 > DMC4, don't @ me (and yes, that includes the Special Edition of DMC4 as well).

I think you mean Ayane's DOA3 theme. Prismatic Butterfly is a very chill theme. Tehu Tehu is a very intense theme that only seems to work with Ayane's "epic" battles. Shade's a nice in-between.

DMC3 including 5 are far better games than Bayo 1 though.

I find DMC4 and Bayonetta 1 to be equivalent somewhat despite how linear they are, introducing Nero didn't make the game that much better but i'm sure people like Nero I guess. Most DMC games have at least progression consistency.

Hmm... Mechanically Bayonetta 1 is a lot better than DMC3 (can't comment on DMC5, since I haven't played through it yet), though DMC3 is better storywise.
Now that DOA6 has been released for quite some time, I'm curious to see what game will KT announce next. The games we know that they're currently making are Persona 5 Warriors and Nioh 2, outside of those two they don't have anything huge announced right now. My guesses are that they'll either make SW5, or DW10 or Blue Reflection 2 or Nights of Azure 3.....or Ninja Gaiden 4.....one man can hope I guess.

    Looking forward to: Nioh 2

Would hope for: Ninja Gaiden 4

Perona 5 Scramble will have an amazing ost no doubt. P5's ost is already great. Give it the KT treatment and it'll be just as good, despite it becoming different for sure.

A Ninja Gaiden 4 done right would be a huge 'Yes Please'. Looking forward to NioH 2. Persona 5 Warriors would be interesting haha. A little sketchy on Nights of Azure 3 since NoA2 was terrible. Much worse than the first Nights of Azure. For a NoA3 I would want them to focus a bit more on hack n' slash action from the 1st game and less on the Lily silliness from the 2nd game.
What a week and we're just halfway through it. MK11 and DOA6 both seem to be having it rough right now. Let me remind you though, that all fighting games are expensive nowadays with the product being unfinished when it is released or its single player mode is as tedius as it can possibly get and feels more like a mobile/F2P game at times, just like most "AAA" games. Gaming will soon be a luxury in a person's life.

To be fair the two games are incomparable at the moment. MK11 just needs to adjust two modes and they're good to go. DOA6...............

Yeah, if I think about it really hard, DOA6 has a lot of problems that might not even get fixed. We'll see how the two games evolve for the better or for the worse with time.
Frost looks cool. She's like a fantasy mix/fusion of her original/human form from the original timeline with Pulsefire Riven. Definitely going to play with her once I get the game.
Apparently MK11 will have alternate endings according to Ed Boon, unless if by alternate endings he refers to the arcade/tower endings. Although, if time travel is involved, then the possibilities are limitless, you can have the good guys or the bad guys winning this time, so I wouldn't be surprised if story mode would have more endings.

Probably similar to Injustice 2, the story mode there also had two different endings. With so much time travel going on in MK11 I guess there will be much more.

It's just a stepping stone. If they can get this passed they can force through some really scary shit.

Let's be honest, this all happened because of so much garbage people make. Not only making garbage, they share it and want the world to see their trash and the world does see it. It's only gonna get worse from here on in.

In a way it is sort of surprising that it took them this much to come up with something like this, given all the money that is involved in this situation. Yeah, I'm afraid that it'll be far, far worse in the future and this is only the beginning. Hopefully they don't plan anything major for the next 50 years or so :)
It would seem that DOA yet again started/starts a trend when it comes to fighting games. First it was the stage transitions, now it seems that a couple of fighting games (namely Dissidia FF and DB:Xenoverse 2) are going to have (is having in FF's case) a F2P version of the game. That's actually not bad, I sort of wish that every fighting game would have a F2P version of itself.

Considering the genre is niche, it gives people incentive to try it. Especially with low traffic online and ranked dying sooner or later. Another trend possibly as with MK11 is knowing if your opponent is using wired/wifi.
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
Right, forgot about that completely. Yes, think DOA6 is the first fighting game to show whether your opponent uses Wi-Fi or cable. Ranked dying pretty soon is not much of a surprise to be honest, there are quite a few people who will get their U rank just by playing a lot after they got their S+ rank + lobby is arriving soon.
