  • For the most part Hayates 4pp is useless... I think it should stun instead of knocking the opponent down... just my opinion

    It's easy usually people with good offense have bad defense try and crush there highs and lows and then you'll get a counter strike most of the time when this happens a person will try to counter your next move so grab or go for another hit I recommend grabbing

    Rabies is okay, but he doesn't tend to break things down much. It's very broad. Like: "Wait until you see Master's combo." 99% have seen said combo. Your job is to try and tell us how is is/is gonna bait/utilize it or how the opponent can get around it, not to simply tell us of its existence.

    Personally, my preference is for Requiem. He does most Cali stream commentaries.

    Its a love/hate thing for me that there aren't really that many Hayate mains out there..I love when I find one tho it's always a great match

    That tool should be used as a defensive maneuver as a command SS anyway. Not sure why people think it should also have high damage output.

    Thats what I figured its a common problem I found. Its easy to forget and just do whatever after your positive. You also got to remember that the opponent wont always respect your advantage. I use to play a respected SC player and I tell ya that guy was a big ass masher. But the thing is hes actually good and knows frames. He was the kind of guy where you needed to get him to respect you.

    If you used a slow move out of a frame trap hes gonna mash out of it until you start CH'ing him all the time then he will stop. Its all about knowing your opponent really. Some people get too technical and they know "X" move you did is a frame trap sit there and block then let you do whatever move you want afterwards.
    My mobility skills sucks and its really annoying...

    Same! The location of the Hayabusa vs. Hayate fight...my two favorite characters duking it out on a rooftop at night with an amazing building to go with it! Very expansive and beautiful...
    Im I the only one who thinks there should be another jet set radio game?....

    lol I would love a new Jet Set Radio game. The Jet Set Radio games were always fun to play and had an awesome soundtrack with it. Maybe a sequel will happen? Hopefully.

    The only js game I played was jsrf and its was for the xbox. till this day its one of the best games ive ever played

    That was the first one I played of the series then the HD version of Jet Set Radio released to PSN and XBL and played that but JSRF was the first one I played and was really unique with the roller skating and graffiti you would be able to do. Was totally fun and loved the cel shaded graphics.

    Also I agree it is definitely one of the best games out there.
    I really wish I had a video capture thingy cause Hayate needs more attention. I cant find anything on Hayate danger zone combos :(

    Don't worry about those. Chances are that you will never or very rarely used them online or offline. Just focus more on your mix ups or actually combos and you'll be fine.

    Why in the FUCKING HELL is the recovery from Hayates teleport so long compared to hayabusa and kasumis like wtf TN smh

    Hayate's is hard to calculate simply because the in-game move details won't read a move's frames unless it's an attack that can hit your opponent. But, let's look at his 66PP6 teleport. Technically it reads as 16(2)8 (which is not that same as 66PP, mind you, that reads different properties). But, it leaves him at -10 if 66P lands. 66P is +25.

    With 16 execution frames, subtract that from your +25 you get +9. But, you're at -10. Thus, it probably has a recovery of 19 frames (accounting for the discrepancy).

    Hayabusa's ongyoin parry recovery is 23 frames. Not also that Hayate's pokes are faster and often cover more distance than Ryu's so it can be easier to follow things up with him.
