this has gotta be the best analysis of VF6's info so far:

I love that it's already the case that an otaku of a specific martial art has already found a detail like this, lol. VirtuaKazama already brought it up here too, but this really drives home how it's not just a hint towards story and character design but also realism... hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it even influenced his movelist.

Like I said, these devs do look like they know what they're doing. They're really researching everything, from martial arts to martial arts movies, like how old school FGs were made before they started to just become derivatives of the genre.

Also, holy hell, I just got reminded that Wolf is a Canadian First Nation... uh, I guess, maybe just part Ganondorf now, lol. Would be cool if they took the extra step and made him part of actual tribe, even consulted actual FNs for details. Not kidding, that would be enough to put the game on national news here.

It looks intense but... I'm sensing MK-vibes mixing with DOA...
They need to start having their music and voices in their trailers since it kinda feels artificial compared to other fighters and their livelier showings. Besides that it was a cool showcase

Love that they're giving the DOA6 break blow face gimmick a shot since only SF6 has done that as far as fighting games, but as a finisher which flows way better and far more immersively yet to the point vs DOA6 which happens at any moment but some break blows are longer and it doesn't feel as impacting since the fighters can get up after it and keep kicking.

Right away I hated the break blow animation, but that was about it. Everything else was awesome.

I do agree that the production level of this was odd. A training stage and no fucking music? If you are going to stand up to the competition… make a big fucking deal about everything at every opening.

Yes, in one trailer we already have better graphics than T8 and far superior animation to T8. But let’s take it further.

The fact that this is even happening is pretty awesome, so I can’t rule out DOA.

I loved everything except that weird red glowing hit effect during the match (on Stella's face), even if it is part of a deep mechanic I'm just talkiing about how it looks, and the closeup final blow... I didn't like it in DOA6 either, but I have to admit seeing something in VF that was in DOA first is cool, even if it is that, lol.

It seems to be way more similar to the Yakuza series/Lost Judgment cinematic face zooming in panning with the face expression, which is something RGG would do. Probably just so happens to be coincidental to that of DOA6's break blow thing. But the expression and timing seems very similar to Yakuza.

I mean, it is possible to take DOA into consideration if they were at the table like "hey should we add this?" "Hm.. I guess. DOA did it too".

Personally, I also do think that VF cinematic face expression hit with the tooth flying out is a bit unnecessary to gauge interest, I also felt it was unnecessary inclusion in DOA too lol. But overall with everything else outside of that, i'm liking it.

Random post here, but there is something interesting with Akira in VF6 from watching the latest videos. This is just my head theory of things with small detail going into the minimal lore, so take this as possibly random fanfiction that may be corrected when the game drops lol.

Watching that recent video vs Stella, there is quite a couple of moves that look familiar to me that went through a complete animation change. Moves like 33P+K, 4PP, and PK that looks like it leads to a stance. Previously in the games, Akira entered the tournaments to further enhance himself and improve his Bajiquan while also finding the meaning of what true fighting is all about. So judging from how he looks now and how he flows in combat, it just seems like he's finally mastered his custom Baji fighting style he so longed wanted to perfect. The attacks that were changed feels like true martial arts moves that were converted and refined to the max, so I wonder if all the changes for refinement is like potentially lore related for himself as well. I can't just imagine the character going "Akira: Damn, PK just looks goofy for years now. I'm going to enhance it and make it better" and boom just like that he did lol.

Granted i'm just talking out of the blue here with no evidence clearly, but watching Akira on screen feels like he's looking the best he's ever been. His new main outfit attire (least in my opinion on this) is the best outfit I seen for him that just.... fits. When he was walking up those stairs towards the training stage arena, the guy literally exudes main character silent warrior aura with extreme confidence.

This is probably my favorite version of Akira so far. Not sure what it is but he just looks really epic in VF6. I really like his design from it.

Hm, I don't really see any launchers but there seems to be a stunned state where the opponent is left vulnerable to guaranteed attacks. I wonder if that's the new combo system or if we'll have a juggle system with launchers. Stella's 3p+k launched/knocked down then she followed up with an OTG move 6F+K which caused a bound animation but Akira immediately teched.

ugh I have so many questions. Need more gameplay lol.

Surely there must be a way for a 3DFG to stay fun without relying on launchers and juggles tho, lol. That's been Tekken's bread and butter forever and now DOA has also gone that way since DOA5... personally I hope VF doesn't go into that any more than it already has in the series.

I thoroughly enjoy VF5US/REVO's juggle system, it's powerful but not over the top like in Tekken. You really have to earn your juggles/combo's in VF. Wouldn't be upset if they kept it the same although seems to be changing somewhat.

I think they're going to tweak the system just enough to make the juggle system easier across the board since they're going to want to make the game more accessible. I can see them incorporating different ways to get damage outside of juggles like how in T8 they have moves that give a guaranteed follow up on counter hit but nothing you can just use as a launcher.

I hope they'll show off more content and characters since I feel like we still haven't even scratched the surface of what the game will be like, but they're likely keeping it artificial reveal wise to gauge reception. Im just waiting for the redesigned Pai and Lion tbh and hopefully the 1-2 new fighters

I think they did confirm a while back in a previous interview that there will be new characters introduced into the game, mind you s in plural as character(s) so they are potentially hinting at 2-3 somewhere. Probably at Tokyo Gameshow but i'm keeping expectations to a mid since the playable build might just be the one from the trailer we saw, but actually played by the audience at TGS. Maybe an updated version of that with another stage etc. who knows really.
