Probably to just share it and spread it to friends and family since people who know of it on the outside looking in won't really give it a fair shot. That and KT should refine and fix up the game so there won't be anymore recurring bugs or shallow game elements

A different kind of tag mode maybe? Or like xtreme-style minigames like in that lunime beach game. im thinking very casually though. I'd say what really got me into DOA5 were the crazy-ass stages but ik not everyone will agree. I just feel like no matter what the team does, there will be complaints.

DOA definitely needs more people (it just does, denying this truth just makes the game get stuck in a loop). The more people supporting the game the better, but getting the people is the hard part since majority of the players are already playing other fighting games. Trying to get these other players to go outside of their comfort zone is the hardest thing in existence.

I think we should all just be very open and helpful to newcomers and encourage others to try the game as well.

@DestructionBomb hits the nail on the head fairly nicely.

A lot of people that played DOA5 or now DOA6 are either people that normally play other FG's (which usually play very differently) or they're almost completely newb-ish to FG's in general. As a result, DOA can seem very frustrating to play early on until you understand the mechanics inside out.

Aye, helpfulness to newcomers is always great. People who still use "noob" as an insult in 2019 need to gtfo

Tricky situation. If you proselytize strongly and focus only on projecting the good aspects to people who aren't fans, they may take notice of the problems you tried to brush over or dismiss and be driven away by the disingenuous representation as a result. If you're upfront about all the issues, it really doesn't paint the game in the most appealing light.

This wasn't very hard with 5 vanilla. There was the stigma, of course, as always, but in general there were a lot of genuine things to advocate. An enthusiastic community, good community relations from the devs, and an excellent game made it easy to make entertaining videos, positive memes, and respectable offline/tournament scenes.

I strongly believe offline events are the way forward. JPN and NA both have a respectable playerbase as far as I can tell, but as an EU resident myself I have to admit the playerbase over here is.... somewhat lackluster. I'd like to see more offline events in Europe that will draw attention to both veterans and newcomers. These events bring people together and generally give us a warmer, healthier community.

With DOA6, everything is just comment away from a clusterfuck. I think I've only seen one legitimately funny DOA6 video (courtesy @DestructionBomb) compared the dozens and eventually hundreds from DOA5. Combos aren't as cool, mechanics aren't as deep, roster isn't as good... there's just not a lot I can advertise positively with a straight face. And looking around, seems like others haven't figured it out, either.
