Never pay much attention to it, I don't think it affects my gameplay in a significant way.

I mean sure why not, but I don’t see the purpose of it. Open/closed stance would only affect some combo’s and set ups.

Aside from characters such as Jann Lee, Bass, and Ryu Hayabusa. It was never a huge deal in particular, in other games it played a pretty basic role but DOA? almost barely, mostly character dependent so this can vary.

But if you want an opinion about it as a "whole", ehhh hm well.... I was never a fan of the idea of stance footing to determine combo structure and setups but it's not entirely on the bad note.

Mostly neutral if I had to be quite honest.

I do know that in VF to evade half-tracking moves, you need to go toward a characters' back. As well as for Jacky to end his wall combo with 9K, he needs to stance switch before he ends the combo at times or use 3K+G to wall splat. So, depends you need to see him open for that one.

is that even a thing in 6? I know in 5 it affected the conversions of a few character (Jann lee, Raidou, and Bass are a few i remember) but I haven't seen too much of it in 6, then again I haven't tested it out too much so maybe it's still there. But overall, meh, i can take it or leave it, if i were a more nuanced player i could probably appreciate it but im not lol
