There are days I lose 10-0 to certain players and days I 10-0 them right back. I don't think that says much of anything. It takes very little to close the gap at that level. Just one little "Aha!" moment that sometimes comes.
Well maybe PL could find that "aha" moment if he ever got his head out of his ass. But there isn't a cure for narcissism, so if that happens, it'll be by chance. Losing 10-0 in a FT10 on a bad day happens. Losing 13-0 in a FT10 is a different matter.
If that incident were his one moment of disgrace, I'd overlook that. No reason to let a single bad moment haunt someone's entire life/career. But PL has a long history of cuckery. That moment was just poetic justice.
The whole argument was that you can have done well in a tournament setting and still be a total clown. Some people do well pressing the buttons. Some people do well with logic. Sometimes they don't overlap. Just because you won EVO at one point in time doesn't mean you'll be an effective coach.
Not seeing things objectively is a pretty big barrier. When you are so self-obsessed you can't see outside yourself, coaching others is gonna be a bit tricky. You might get lucky and hit some common points, but gambling $100 on the hope that he gets lucky is more funny than alluring.
@Pictured Mind Winning a tournament says a lot.....Especially on the evo stage. What PL doing is not some new fucking thing. Its extremely common now a days with e-sports and you can find coaching for hire with nearly any game now that has e-sports tied to it.
Trashing him over it is pathetic, and tacking on the FT10 thing while none of you have even come close to reaching his skill level is just ridiculous. (except for Rikuto obviously)
I have no problem with coaching and I have never said that I did. If that's something people want, that's fine. It isn't for me. I'm also not doubting PL's skill as a player. I'm simply pointing out that winning a tournament doesn't suddenly shield you from being criticized over things that have nothing to do with it.
Saying Brute hasn't won a tournament is just such a weird topic to bring up when the entire point is winning tournaments doesn't necessarily translate to being a good coach.
I have nothing against coaching course, I just don't see why it has to have a price on FGs when I can get someone else with similar information at the cost of zero dollars, unless it's some special coaching that extends my life or to do something I struggle in the real world environment, I can see why there would be a price for situations like that.
Having an ego doesn't mean you can't objectively view and teach how to play the game, even if you overestimate yourself. Seen plenty of coaches that had egos. It's a hard fact PL can beat 99.9% of the people out there in his chosen games, but no coach in the world will push you beyond that. He's qualified enough for the people that could actually benefit from coaching.
