I actually like platinum games and I still don't like the idea :/

After Babylon's Flop, Platinum's reputation has taken a big blow. Though of course that's also on Square Enix.

Didn't we get Yaiba the last time they outsourced it? Good idea to do that again eh....?

Thats sad. Even more sad, I seen on another forum people suggesting Ninja Theory lmao. I cant even lol And platinum would just redo NG3 with those big button qtes. Ugh. Not for me

There's also Soleil, but they aren't doing so hot either with Wanted Dead and Valkyrie Elysium. I still favor Platinum Games but even that's a gamble.

Even if people wanted NG to be done in-house, most of the original & key devs that worked on NG during the Xbox days are long gone, so it would not surprise me in the smallest that the best choice is to outsource it to a 3rd party.

You could get Nioh team or young newly hired devs within, but that's also a gamble.

There is Capcom's DMC team as I know they'll respect the series, but the relationship between KT & Capcom is still sour so probably ain't happening no matter how much money is involved lol. Good thing though is that the possibility of "a" NG is still out there vs zero because NG has been stuck in a jam for YEARS already lol.

@inochinagi That's because Yaiba was developed by Spark Unlimited, a team/company that favored first/third person shooters that went bankrupt and closed down. Should of had another team that favors it do it.

Because for whatever reason, companies didn't even try to actually contact actual other heavily action-game focused 3rd party companies.

I'm surprised by his response, actually... I would have thought the Nioh team would have been perfectly fine to make an NG4 that redeems the series...

Same yeah. That's probably my first pick because the answer is literally right there. But if not even the Nioh team can do it, then there's no one else besides letting a 3rd party handle it.

All i'm saying is, if they truly went that route, then please keep tabs on it and pick a group out there that actually favors the genre.
