    back in the day I used to play Ninja Gaiden on Master Ninja just for funsies, now I can't even get past the first stage on Very Hard mode :-(

    We can forget things about a game we haven't played in such a long time and we might not have enough time to relearn the game properly, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to do another run on hard difficulty that you'd be doing simultaneously with your very hard run to get used to the game a lot more.

    I was thinking of doing that but I decided i;ll just power through it; the first 2 chapters are always the hardest on higher difficulties just cause you're so under equipped and under leveled, and in Sigma it's even harder cause you only have the DS, at least in NGB they give you nunchucks which just plows through early games enemies

    Luke looks cool (gameplay wise, still not feeling the fact that he still looks like Logan Paul's 3D avatar) but that passive meter gain got me nervous, gives me MK11 vibes

    granted it's not universal, it's only for V trigger, and the opponent can affect it in some manner, so it's not as bad, but after MK11 passive resource gains is a no no in my book

    I see Halo Infinite has taken ideas from Warframe when it comes to female power armor, seriously I don't remember female spartans being so curvy and caked up :/

    Naw, never played Gaurdians, I just remember the designs in Reach where the female armor was just a smaller more slender version of the male armor, distinguishable but nothing crazy, but now in Infinite it's like I can spot a female posterior from halfway across a map

    not that im complaining, it's just wild lol

    I started playing Genshin around the time 1.2 ended, one week before Ganyu's banner ended to be precise so I'd like to pick her up this time on PS4 despite having Eula and C6 Rosaria built as a physical dps and Xiao on PC but I feel that that'll come after the Shenhe/Yunjin banner and they'll rerun some other older characters on the next patch.

    Also, a small correction, we've known for a while what'll come on the next patch in Honkai (5.3, Global and SEA server currently on 5.2) but we had no idea what would come after that (on 5.4) but now we know that one too, the S rank Valkyrie (equivalent of a 5-star character) that comes 2 patches later makes me really wonder what'll come afterwards.

    Haven't checked up on specific information about Gorou but from what I've seen so far he seems to be a buffer character, I wouldn't be surprised if Yunjin would end up being somewhat similar (maybe something like Xiangling but not as op and for Geo specifically). Geo-wise I'm going to get Itto (or try to) but I'm really waiting for another Zhongli rerun, lost 50/50 to Keqing iirc.

    Welp, here's the first look at project L
    looks like a cross between strive and marvel, which sounds kinda cool but frankly i'm too apathetic towards this whole thing to get hype for it, hopefully that changes with time

    The biggest intrigue in Project L comes from the fact that it's being developed by a developer with serious esports gaming experence. Riot is big time. It's almost a guarantee that Project L will have amazing netcode akin to what a FG should have in the 2020's. Admittedly the gameplay style doesn't really seem like my style but I'll give it a look.

    oh im sure the game will do numbers, it has esport vets working it on, has the network, has recognizable IP, all that good stuff, my beef with it is that it looks and plays too much like games that are out and games that are coming out, but that might be my fault for playing too many fighting games but still...

    the whole faux 2D with 3D aesthetic with simple inputs that got popularized with Xrd has reached a point where it's prevalent enough and it's beginning to get annoying, hell DNF duel trailer just dropped today and it looks EXACTLY like this, and more games with these sensibilities will getting released in the future, trust

    Nintendo sanctioned Smash tournaments huh? curious to see how all the "fuc Nintendo" Melee players will respond, will they stick to their guns or give up their long standing views for $$$

    at first glance Multiversus looks yet another uninspired Smash clone, but the fact that it'll be F2P, cross platform, and 2v2 as opposed to 1v1 definitely makes it stand out

    yeah, WB also did that in the new Space Jam movie, where they have a Clockwork Orange characters and Rick and Morty hanging with the Looney toons; im sure to kids they're just funny side characters but when you actually know the original source material of those guys it's kinda unsettling seeing them in something that designed to be kid friendly

    Well, its not like we weren't playing MK or watching shows or films that were meant for 18+ people before we turned 18 but yeah, seeing all of these characters together ranging from cartoons that at times had jokes that went over the heads of the younger audience to characters from mature shows is definitely an unusual combination to see in a TV show or video game.

    Then again, Smash Ultimate is a game where Mario can fight Bayonetta, Sephiroth and Kazuya, characters who come from games that range from non-mature content to having plenty of it.

    yeah, DBZ got a little something for everybody these days;
    you want a DBZ fighting game, DBZF got you
    you want a DBZ open world game, DBZ Kakarot got you
    you want a DBZ MMO, DBZ Xenoverse got you
    and so many more, a great time to be a DBZ fan

    that said im annoyed we're once again mining iconic DBZ eras i.e Freiza,Cell, and Majin Buu arcs, so tired of seeing that imagery being used again and again

    was ACV really that bad? I never played cause all the reviews and word of mouth calling it average af dissuaded me from getting it , but who knows, I might of been the one guy who liked it

    I remember 4 being awesome though, so maybe 5 just had a hard time following up?

    @Camel with 2 thumbs I played ACIV but not ACV. I heard stuff about ACV that it was mostly mixed, but generally positive.

    I think it might have something to do with the game sold less than the previous one and they probably figured "I think we should try something new" -drum roll-......probably Dark Souls.

    But honestly, I still think FromSoft is to blame for that and their issues with western sales. They don't really advertise Armored Core series like that. Heck, even PlayAsia and billboards in Japan use to promote it.

    AC was like one of those games that was pretty under the radar in the west that you have to go to a game store, look at the cover, and go "this looks like a cool game" to actually try it out.

    Avoid youtube till February? unlikely, right now i've just blocked all the Dark Souls youtubers that will post anything and everything that's Dark souls related while strategically avoiding certain channels, hopefully that works

    In a way its nice to see that the game is still receiving updates to this day, before Fighterz and after Raging Blast 1+2 I feel that Xeno 2 has been one of the most well known and played DBZ games since the Tenkaichi days, on the other hand these updates have been going on for a very long time indeed, wonder when they'll announce the last update to it.

    My exact words when I picked up Xenoverse 2 and saw all the content I had to grind through, it's alot of value for the price but having a fresh start with a new playerbase would be much more appreciated

    but the way things are going that is an unlikely scenario

    I legit never knew that Ayane had a special win quote against Jann Lee, it's interesting but why? I don't recall those two ever having a significant interaction in any story mode

    They also have a unique tag throw if i remember correctly. So many characters in DOA hate Jann even if they dont have anything to do with the guy.

    Ayane and Jann are somewhat similar so you could think they could bond together but i guess not.

    ah yes, back when TN would add special tag throws for characters who've never interacted and we'd all be like "are they hinting at some sort of relationship?" but in reality they probably just added it in cause it looked cool

    Gen Fu + Kasumi/Ayane was one my fav's for that, didn't make sense why it was there but it looked cool so who cares lol

    of all the Fatal Frame games to remaster, why Black Water? that's like the one entry people remember for all the wrong reasons (overly sexy ghosts, baffling DLC costumes and a truly nonsensical story, even by Fatal Frame standards)
