  • Huh interesting. Witcher season 4 was announced. I thought it was over-over. I have medium expectations for it since Henry Cavil stepped down, but I'll give it a shot when it drops.
TGS is still the more likely candidate for any DOA news (more believable) over any other outlets. If you don't see any DOA news at TGS this year that you'd particularly wanted, you probably won't see any until the TGS next year.

Expectation is severely low for this year and next year.

I have already made my peace with it. Of course I want this happen, and for every gaming conference/presentation there will be always hope of it among fans, but it comes when it comes. Just like Ninja Gaiden 4

With the 30th anniversary in November, I'm not holding my breath.
Knowing patterns, it'll probably just be DOAXVV 9th anniversary of SSRs.
Damn, people making fun of Iron Man's theme in Tokon lol, but even Strive has very few tracks that sometimes just doesn't hit right in my opinion.

Testament's theme in Strive is a prime example where the first 20 secs of the track has fantastic instrumental riff, but when the vocals and guitar spikes kick in, I already want to stop listening and swap music lol.

The way you feel about Testament's theme is the way I feel about ABA's theme, the majority of the song is audio landfill but the last 20 seconds im like, oh shit, this is banging, can we get more of this please?

On the other hand you have Giovanna's theme which is a track i will listen to 10 times in a row because it's just that good

@Camel with 2 thumbs Pretty much. Think Giovanna's, Millia, and Sol's are some of the ones I could listen to repeat.

For Testament, literally the only part I liked was from 0:07 all the way to 0:19, I was like oh shit banger alert incoming?

The moment it hits the 21 second mark I was getting worried, when it finally reached 28 I lost all hope.

Strive's soundtrack is interesting because on one hand you have really great themes that beat older GG ost/soundtracks, which is quite an achievement, on the other hand there are some that people absolutely dislike, going all vocal with the soundtrack had its benefits but also its disadvantages imo.
Was not joking when I said I learned AI generation from software in less than 2 hours lol (shoutouts to the RTX 5090 though):

Still a ways to go actually and clearly has errors, its pretty fun though.

So I was not really interested in making money from this out of respect to actual artists out there, so it's more personal use. Also you probably need a 40 series and up to even render from hardware (least what I heard).

No stolen art or any of that since it's illegal to do so via the software, straight full generation.

You say, "straight full generation", but that doesn't clarify what data set the generation was trained on.
This probably could be streamer lingo on gift subs but for DOA lol:

20 gifted subs for some DOA collection from 1-4 on PSN/Xbox/Switch/Steam.

50 gifted subs that DOAD escapes the Nintendo platform and is on PSN/Xbox/Steam remastered with netplay.

100 gifted subs for a DOA5LR ultra release shadow dropped with updated textures, all DLC, rollback netcode, lobbies etc.

200 gifted subs DOA7 is real.
Managed to free up a lot this week from IRL gym work. October is going to be rough though. Things to somehow make more time:

    - Play more VF Revo.
    - Play more FF14.
    - Play more TFD.
    - Wanted to establish some type of DOA Battle Dome with players and content.
    - Just making more time for gaming in general.
Imagine a video game where all the characters speak a different language and you have to be the best Polyglot in the world to understand the whole story.

You know Tekken is trying to pull that off?

@Derock Tekken hilariously probably doesn't count since it has ENG subs.

I meant a game where each NPC speaks not only the language, but the text is also in that language, so if you don't know the language in a big story game or some RPG, you can't progress kind-of-thing LOL.

chants of sennaar is an indie title that's sounds close to what you're talking, it's a game where every level has a civilization that speaks a different language and you play as someone who has to translate and figure what everyone is saying via context clues and your helper NPC, t'was quite a unique game
I played Metal Gear Solid Delta early. It's a bit strange and hard to put it in words. I do like it so far. FPS shifts a bit on console but wasn't game breaking on immersion (least in my opinion). I might be mistaken here, but I think the original PS2 version ran at 30FPS yet it wasn't jarring at the time.

I'm starting to wonder if it's a UE5 kind of thing where 30FPS can just look weirder on it.
It'd be interesting if Shimbori somehow ends up in SEGA. I doubt it, but he would be on of the very few rare individuals to have in his resume that he worked on DOA, Tekken, and VF (if it happens) lol.
    Shimbori left Bandai Namco:

(and no that does not mean he's going back to TN/KT lol). It seems he's going for a more free lance type of work? wonder if he had a realization of working under big wig corporates is not the way to go anymore.

Then I propose we swap notes. How about dusting off your akira and we do this through voice chat stream? 420 Character limit is not enough after all.
    DestructionBomb

@Uberprinny Akira? you underestimate my power with other characters. Akira is only for when a situation is really bad (which is like rare moments vs Xcal, Kwiggles etc.)

Otherwise, prepare yourself with Leon/Pai/Jacky etc.

Poor Akira in a rainy day sitting down at a park bench. You might get rusty cuz what are the chances you bump into tournament players? Unless you have em on speed dial.
With the MH x FF collaboration, I also realized Akuma is also in that game and is playable lol.

Akuma in MH: Wilds potentially clashing with Omega from Final Fantasy would not be on my bingo card.
Looks like every console so far raised in prices.

@Yuffie Yeah typically the saying makes sense since it reduces the heavy costs of finding a pre-built or direct manufactures. If you know what you are doing, it is effectively the most cost efficient way in the long run. Just buying your own parts that are compatible and then you build it / hiring someone else to do it, to avoid the pre-builds out there that will charge you $500 more.

At the moment, the GPU market is still the worst contender for anyone that's even building or upgrading. You can find a good deal of cards to play modern or older games, but for future proofing on the other hand... well, that can vary and you may not get the best value card at the normal price range it's supposed to be etc.

    I appreciate the feedback DB!
I paid my cousin to make me a budget PC build 2 years ago and it runs DOA6 and older games just fine.
I haven't tried newer games like Stellar Blade though.
Tales of Xillia Remastered (PS5/Switch) will be $39.99 on Oct.

Not surprised it didn't come to Xbox. Wasn't this on PS3? And no Switch 2 version? So no optimization?
    DestructionBomb
    DestructionBomb
@Yuffie It was on PS3 yeah. So far native 60, removed the grey dark filter the PS3 version had, and goes up to 4K. 120 on PC. Not sure what's going on Switch versions these days to be honest.

Apparently Tales of Xillia was a little weird one to do since it was made with the PS3 in mind in the past. They couldn't recover some stuff along with collaboration DLCs.

Looks like it is coming to Xbox after all. But I think it won't have a physical version like Tales of Grace f iirc.
