Guard break is not the same as advantage on block. Would it suffice for you if this move would be guard break but with the same frame data?

Help on how to defend properly in DOA5

As Tina, if you baited a hold it's a waste to not land a grab. If they are scared to hold because of that this is what makes your CB combo possible.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

A character is not susceptible to high throws from the first frame during crouch dash.

    Is online completely meaningless?

Only Kasumi and Christie can punish -11 (in game terms) with standing jab. -11 is not punishable with 10-frame jab.

How does it affect your play though? If you want to block low, just block low, it works. If you want to dodge non-guaranteed throw and have no time to crouch--do an attack to interrupt throw for hi counter. There are other options.

Non-instant crouch is nothing new. VF has the same thing with throwing an opponent from incomplete crouching animation.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

No, low block is instant. You need like 7 frames to fully crouch from standing on neutral, but if you are blocking a low attack you will crouch instantly. But you cannot dodge standing throw instantly because of crouching animation. Edit: more like 4 frames.

Hi! I would like to discuss templates for frame data pages. I'm working on frame data for a character and I would like to use template that is different to current "doa5fd" (as seen in Bass frame data) for several reasons.

I think Super Turbo Akuma is an exaggerated example. Rikuto, do you have ideas on what you are going to do against Helena players on upcoming NEC?

I don't call it broken. And even if I would, this would not mean this is a bad tool. If you want me to share my thoughts about guaranteed setups, please restate your question without using word "broken". Then use it to your advantage. If "broken" stuff is good for your character, then what...

    Dealing with Stun Abuse

Throw is not the only option to punish whiffed hold. As far as I know stun frames are added to hold recovery, so it effectively increases window of opportunity for your opponent if they predict the hold. For example, they can use slower attacks that weren't possible without whiffed hold...

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

It's super easy to call something broken, anyone can do this any moment. Which is why good stuff should be used whether someone calls it broken or not. This is a part of game which we play. Find the most broken stuff and use it. Everyone have to deal with it. (N.B. This is mostly for...

Force tech guarantees mix-up opportunity, and she has good mix-ups to make use of it. I think not every character have as good mix-ups on forced tech.

    Is online completely meaningless?

There are two different topics going on. One is "Do wins online mean anything in competitive sense?", and the second is "Is online play functionality useful?" I don't see anyone disagree with the second topic, and no one actually asked that. Many people post that yes indeed it is useful...

Help on how to defend properly in DOA5

You can't punish -6 with 6-frame grab in this game. 6-frame grab becomes active only on 7th frame. It should be at least -7 for grab to connect guaranteed. Similar (not the same!) thing is with strike punishes.

I think you did a decent job commenting grand finals. I never expect fighting game matches commentary be completely objective either. The guy texting during grand finals made unfavourable impression though.

Even in Divekick they all have different kick power with Kung Pao having the strongest kick and Mr. N--the weakest. (Section "DATA": http://wiki.mizuumi.net/w/Divekick)

That makes no sense. Imagine if Ryu of Street Fighter series deal less damage just because he is the "Ryu" of the fighting game. Being "simple" (easy to get into with) does not justify him being less powerful.
