But I praise tekken and bash DOA. Ok lets see, I talk about using DOA’s offline modes more for stick, said ggs and I gotta get back to gaming, thought of pocketing Sarah, bash ONLINE cause well Online’s online, and not long I bashed tekken for giving Hwo the worst WR punishes in history.
And DOA’s latest news is how DOAx3’s character look in ___, a game I don’t even play and costumes that came out a month ago where I already streamed my reaction, and I talked about again more DOA 6 wishlist (well kinda the opposite) in a forum I made?
Sometimes you can get the wrong input that would kill you in a crucial scenario compared to like Paul for example, where you drop demo man but it don’t matter cause you got deathfist to help you.
EWGF can sometimes be a factor. But it’s not just that. Hellsweep can be a pain sometimes. DJ has high execution on combos that I can’t even do like some that involve him twisting & turning or whatever (I don’t use him much).
However, I excluded some characters from that, seeing how good they can be and how far they have gone in a tourney. Cause then mind as well put all VF’s in B tier in DOA. They’re good but minus a couple people who executes them efficiently in a tourney?
Cause according to some, there’s input lag on ps4. Plus after for example Qudans and Knee, who else executes DJ at a high level? Plus, a screw up with those characters are way more costly than like Jack. It’s not a bad statement and it’s true for some.
Until recent tourney’s people made arguments that lili and such were better than DJ, Bryan, & such because they’re good and easier to use in a tourney, which contradicted itself cause Paul, Claudio, and a couple others were low also despite fitting that good and easy stuff. But now, that...
No. He was always viable. What happened was in the past, there was a tier list that put a lot of powerhouse characters in B tier because they were hard. I went against that for some characters as we witnessed the results of a powerhouse in the right hands.
I don't think that'll happen yet. That execution barrier is still very high. But now, no one can put Devil Jin or Hwoarang or Bryan in B tier, seeing that when in the right hands, they are crazy.
Qudans winning proves that while easier characters mostly succeed, put a powerhouse like DJ in the right hands and you're getting worked. I have no reason to not put DJ in as a top 3 character now, tourney or no tourney.
