Two characters that weren't made playable in this build. Hence, my point stands. Also, I can't say I'm personally excited for new characters. There are some they could make that I would get excited about, but the chances of that are so low. I'm interested in stages, balance tweaks, new moves...

You don't learn match-up knowledge from the story. But that's okay, because you should not have to labor yourself with the single-player in order to access full multiplayer features.

Because the 5 new characters we got when Ultimate came around were entirely new and never existed before.

If Raidou legit came back as Raidou but they had to change Tengu into a chick I would be too busy being dead from shaking my head so hard my neck would snap to follow through with any type of monetary bet.

Never heard about it being a tournament, but yeah, I wasn't really expecting to see any new characters at TGS. I am hoping to see some new stage stuff, though. And not going to lie, was kind of expecting some new moves/tech/intros/outros. Would be disappointed if there weren't any.

Plot relevance is, ironically, irrelevant. Sales and marketability dictate what characters we get and the female fetish epitomes are what's selling.
