as incredibly stupid as this is going to sound.... aside from being clones Phase and Alpha dont have much in common. to start things off Alpha plays like the old school kasumi as in she doesn't rely on teleport juggles. Phase 4 on the other hand has grown to rely on them either further and second their personalities are completely different

I agree, but again David was talking of similarity just to an appearence level (both of them in their red outfit).

The two characters are different as you said, however is evident the will of TN to comsider Phase-4 the spiritual successor of Kasumi Alpha from DoA2/DoAD.

She's flawless, but she's about as much of a fighter as Niki. I wouldn't mind seeing her, but how many more bitches do we need in this game? I want men.

Her situation is actually different, Niki born as a side character of Zack for comical relief (in a good meaning), Irene is an aged and famous character for the players of the old NG trilogy (the popularity of 'Sonia' indeed increased after the revelation on her identity), that ended to get a role even on the main plot of DoA and that apparently is got in a big consideration from the same TN compared to her presence on screen.

Add to this that while it would be necessary to get an explanation for Niki's knowledge of a martial art (btw not a problem), the background of Irene automatically would explain it.

However I agree that the roster need of more men, indeed I live an inner conflict (from a side I want see more male characters, better if evil guys, from another I hope for the C.I.A. agent)

I replay the original NG trilogy about once a year on my NES and every time I always think about how Irene should be in doa. She should have been in before Momiji for sure. The more I think about it the more I want her in doa. I also want Robert and Theodore in doa. Too bad one's forgotten and the other dead.

I think I'm gonna go replay the trilogy now.

I was kidding dude lol. I don't think you got what I was saying. Pretty much saying they add another Kasumi clone and the boss from the story, that's two more Kasumi clones. They remove the red ninja outfit and make it a character namely Kasumi Alpha, sorry but that would really be funny having two more Kasumi clones lol. If you can't get that I don't know what to say....

I disagree... I've played through 1-3 and own the original carts... Momiji has much more presence in the series. Irene is an old enigma that won't die.

Though she did survive a few insane situations. Being slaughtered by Ashtar and surviving is her greatest accomplishment.

It was Intelligent Alpha's response that I didn't understand not your's (since he said he agreed with you but his explanation had nothing to do with the point you were making).

But yeah it would be pretty ridiculous having 4 Kasumi's in the game (and well technically the last boss had the identical move sets of all 4 ninjas not just Kasumi and played almost as if it were in tag mode).

I don't know much about Momiji's presence in NG, but Irene having a much more unique relationship with the main protagonist makes the story all the more interesting. Sorta like Snake and Boss in MGS Peacewalker. It'll be interesting to see how she'll cross over into DOA, the roll she'll play, and how it'll affect Hayabusa vs. any other character they've previously added. Neither Rachel nor Momiji have no involvement in DOA since they're just Hayabusa's "associates" and DOA's story surrounds the Mugen Tenshin. Irene's story can easily be developed and tied into DOATEC/M.I.S.T, she being a C.I.A agent.

It's pretty sad that it's the main draw currently at TGS. :/

I was going to post some of the google translated tweets from ppl at TGS however they're all pretty much fixated on the "milk-shaking" technique that you can perform with the PS4 controller so nothing really to add...

What I'm really interested in is the stage select screen:

Look at that! If all of the stages are available on the select screen (as opposed to only the random, dangerzone, and the locked new stages) there are 4 new stages in addition to Danger Zone and Crimson! :O

Even if those are the only ones available on the screen there's still at least 3 locked stages inbetween the random and dangerzone.

Two characters that weren't made playable in this build. Hence, my point stands.

Also, I can't say I'm personally excited for new characters. There are some they could make that I would get excited about, but the chances of that are so low.

I'm interested in stages, balance tweaks, new moves, changes in system mechanics and some flair things like new costumes, intros/outros, etc.

Last Rounds turns out to be really huge, I guess. I can´t wait to see some match ups in the new version of "Dangerzone". Haha, this was also fun back in the days. Childhood here you are.

I´m also excited for the "Crimson" Stage, because I do really like those neon lights. The small area in the "Fuel" stage was just the teaser of it, but now, I´m in heaven. =)
