A combination of boredom and too much DoA5...

This thread lacks the man......Hideo Kojima

When we're talking about favorite titles & most enjoyable experiences, the esoteric Metal Gear Solid series is certainly one of the best imo. I only own Sons of Liberty, Snake Eater & Guns of The Patriots but each of them are of unarguable quality imo.

It's an acquired taste but love it or hate it, name one other game that allows you to perform cartwheels with a naked man, slip on seagull guano, distract guards by slapping a porno mag on the floor, fight skating bombers named Fatman or to sneak inside a cardboard box, hold a urinating guard at gunpoint as a bloke with a phallic metaphor for a name?

Furthermore, he always plays with ideas that you just wouldn't see other devs attempting to do & yet, somehow he pulls it off. That hour long boss fight with an ancient sniper (who can be killed by changing your PS2's clock setting) the battle with Psycho Mantis who can randomly put your TV screen on Hideo output , the good ole' "codec frequency is on the back of the CD case" (in which i spent hours searching in-game to find this only to realize it's on the back of my MGS copy) & then there is the Octo-camo mechanic in MGS4 which alters textures!?

This my friends, is why Hideo Kojima is......the man

Call him self-indulgent or too personal when it comes to his own art, but the man is a genius & so are his games. I'm going to be hanging around for news on Ground Zeroes like a moth to a light fixture just to see what this fellow cooks up next. One thing is for sure: you will either love it, hate it or be surprised by it, but most of all, you will admire it, because the man is daring. This is obviously just my subjective opinion, but it is one i stand by; the industry wouldn't quite be the same without this man's creativity & innovation imo.

Uncharted is already a mainstream 'game'. In fact it's the flagship 'game' of the PS3 (for US/EU community).

When I say game, I'm really meaning interactive movie. To be honest, Uncharted (specially the last one) suffer from pretty much all the problems in modern gaming. After all it is just a cover-based third person shooter, with very little and casualized platforming sections a-la AssCreed, a few puzzles/riddles for brain-dead people, and 'hidden' treasures laying around in plain sight. So, in essence it's just a another shooter with a heavy emphasis in getting you into a "cinematic experience".

Anyway, just took advantege of the already gone offtopic thread to say this. Nothing that you already didn't know or feel, I'd like to think.

P.S. The only Tenchu games I played and liked were the first two on PS1. I liked the first more than the 2nd, in fact. Jak & Daxter was never good, in my humble but very debatable opinion. It was Sony trying to pull a franchise to compete with 3D Mario platformers. And we all know it didn't have a chance.
Puzzles/riddles for brain dead people?! Thats pretty harsh to say :(

I was gonna make a long-winded response to that AMAZING Hideo Kojima post, but I thought it would be better to stay on topic and post this instead. And I think Emperor Cow may have a seizure after this : P

No longer being a part of the roster, Leon decides to rampage the DoA world out of boredom slapping people in the face with nerfs wherever necessary. Most preferably by throwing them off cliffs like missiles. Just imagine what he could have done to poor Alpha. The imagery must be pretty brutal x.x

The original glitch Emperer Cow caught this comic was partially based on XD

Went back into the comic and readjusted the glitched face. Also corrected a horrid misspelling of Robitussin. Anyways, thanks again guys : P

@Ghosty-J, I am convinced you're the Hideo Kojima of deviantArt. There really isn't enough superlatives in the history of words to describe just how majestic these pieces of art are, not just in how you execute them but also how much damn sense they make too, as we as DoA5 fans & players can relate to the messages you put into these strips. Without sounding too much like a keeling, slavering gimp or Ryu-obsessed schoolgirl, i hugely admire your work & i would be lying if i wasn't a smidgen bit jealous of your skill. ;) You reek of talent, so don't ever lose that scent.

I could go on & on about your work but there is literally no point, you know they're brilliant & everyone else knows they're brilliant so I'm going to leave things simple. Keep up what you love doing, because not only do you clearly enjoy doing it yourself, but so does everyone else who equally enjoys seeing what you come up with next. Meanwhile, i will continue trying to perfect the stick figure while you out-do yourself yet again.

Anyway, thanks again for the encouraging words Keved, you rock dude \m/_
I tend to doubt my abilities a lot, so I wouldn't say I'm as awesome as Hideo Kojima (or Suda51 whom I'd rave on about in an entire essay). But the compliments I receive are enough too keep me going. So long as there's demand, I'll definitely keep supplying since there are a few more ideas in my noggin I'm itching to explore XD

It's just refreshing to see DOA art that doesn't involve boobs.... Honestly I have a lot of ideas but most of them involve boobs. :bradwong:

You don't worry about any haters bitching and talking shit on this website since it's not as bad as Youtube, Gamefaqs or Facebook/Twitter LOL

Who doesn't have any ideas which involves boobs? Heck, female artists think of ideas for drawing boobs all the time :V But if I had to choose between drawing boobs or THIS:
I would most definitely go with the latter (2fabulous4u). Doesn't mean I don't like boobs though, because I wanted to draw a crossover between Alpha-152 and Dural for quite a while now.

And thank goodness I haven't made any enemies here. Being a harmless pacifist who shies away from arguments that lead to pointless flame wars tend to have its advantages :3

Now for something completely different. Instead of getting bored and drawing a DoA5 comic, This time I get bored and edit the everliving CRAP out of one of my DoA5 replays : D

I'm gonna submit this to the media section later. If I have enough time, I'll definitely do more. Hopefully with a better replay. I dropped combos like crazy and I had to punish SOOOO MANY counters with a throw. Fun fight though~.

Thanks. I have a couple replays backed up I can try working on during another time, even though my best one glitched up after the patch and spazzed out with moves that were never done in the real match. I guess I can upload that replay and work my magic on it to help explain how the glitch worked for the sake of raising awareness about it.

I wouldn't go as far as say he's sloppy since he slaughtered me the first time we encountered. I just caught onto the fact he countered way too much and I learned to react to it the most proper way I could. Heck, from all the beatdowns I took I probably have a bad habit of playing stupid too <.<

Boy, you gotta love those glitches (sarcasm)
Anyway, at least you didn't rely on countering so much but man, he missed his opportunity to use Hayabusa's air grab  although he did manage to counter your attacks on time
