Now that you mentioned it. Gen-Fu is planning to pass on his style to Eliot.

Would you hate your favorite character if he's going to learn (and use) his master's fighting style by the next tournament?
If anything, I'd love Eliot even more because now people will probably take him more seriously. But on the other hand, I kind of like that my main isn't so common online.

I'd like to see him get just a few moves from Gen-Fu and not the entire moveset (even if his fighting style will most likely get renamed as Xing Yi Liuhe Quan by DOA6). I also want his strikes to be faster.

Meh. Honestly, Christie's my kryptonite. I've tried learning her shit to understand it better, and it doesn't help.

I find that Christie can have too many mix-ups at times and has a fairly good amount of positive guard breaks for a character with i9 jab strings and i11 mid P's. It doesn't help that she's one of the most evasive non-ninja characters. However she still has to work a bit for damage, and her holds and throws aren't very strong (though 4T is very dangerous). I still find GenFu more rage-inducing though in this game.

What about Christie has been giving you trouble?

Just about everything you described there... although I haven't actually fought a Christie in ages.

The character I don't like playing is the player that calls me a noob for picking Bayman.

I also don't like Helena b/c I don't like breaking her neck with :2::F+P: when she's downed. :(

Good thing there's an arm bar, downed throw ;)

I think I can safely add Momiji to characters I hate fighting. Even for a Ninja. Girl seems to have ZERO recovery time, so I cant do followups after stun, and every single little jab launches.
This. I can't stand fighting Momiji-hun. Dat beech.

Look over her frames and look for good opportunities to fight back. She is very safe in close, but she has no moves that are advantage on block outside of GB's. At range bait 66PP or 1PP and punish with a strong grab. Duck or fuzzy guard the double jump options. If you see the fireball, block and punish or Mid P hold. Momiji players like to mash PP strings so 2P regularly.6PP is unsafe but for some stupid ass reason PPPP is safe.

To elaborate further, you'll want to look for 6PP, 236P/66PP, 1PP and 1PK, 2H+K, Uzukaze P (single slap) and PK (slap-kick), Tenku anything (sidestep kills it all). All of these are at least throw-punishable on block. These get Momiji down, and she has nothing special to get up with, so you can try and maintain momentum there. Once you're stunned, you'll either be holding mid or high to catch her launchers, although most will look for either 8K (high) or 236P/66PP (mid).

Momiji's 2H+K is so good, and can't be throw punished at tip range. Best to low crush it since it's slow. If I'm not mistaken sidestepping only evades the High K & the Mid P, but the Tenku Throw will still catch sidesteps. What you can do is prioritize ducking, unless you see flames, in which you'll either block or Mid P hold. Momiji players almost always launch with a high during stun (such as 8P or 8K) since those moves come out fast and serve as a good mix-up to the CB. Another note is to punish 66K since it's unsafe on block and is a launcher.

Once you get used to her, you discover that Momiji is actually a pretty average character with great stun-launch tools. She's only a pain in the ass in lag, because she'll basically have no reason to stop mashing PPPP, 6PKK or PP8~yadayada.

kinda late (well reaally effin late actually, but whatever) I hate fighting against any of the VF characters they beat the crap out of me most of the time on arcade. When it comes to fighting online probably Hayabusa and Hayate... they're annoying as hell

Brad Wong, because he just gets in my head, for unknown reasons and I can't read him (which I guess is the point of imebriated kung fu but still), and Lisa, because I rarely get to fight her, especially a Lisa main, and when she does show up, I always end up trying to hold high against throws that look like her jump kicks DX

For the VF characters, you have to zone them out and learn their frames. They are all very safe with only few punishment opportunities. They are all vulnerable to good zoning and keepout. Don't treat them like the DOA characters, whom are negative after almost anything that doesn't stun. Hayabusa isn't that bad once you get used to him, but Hayate is annoying as fuck at times.

Look up Brad Wong's moveset and see what options he has out of his various stances. If you don't know what to do on defense, just spam Mid K holds to limit his stronger options and force him to try to throw you more often. Brad prays on your ignorance more than other characters. For Lisa, try to stay in her face and pressure her. She is one of the slowest characters in the game like Brad Wong, and excels at crushing attacks and zoning. Once you figure out what she can do, she becomes more than manageable.

I know the majority of his movelist, idk I guess I just have a knack for guessing wrong, mostly it's when he lays down right in front of me during his mixup when I guess wrong the most, and he gets hits on me from there. As far as Lisa goes, I see now why I have an issue, I try to zone her out with Jann Lee and she usually ends up crushing me. I guess I need to play close against her.
