And folks let's just say that we all agree that the main concern was that there's no option to change the online music and leave it at that. With every song there will obviously be people who don't like it. I personally enjoy the beat and the lyrics but I agree with the consensus that hearing it on loop isn't ideal.

In 5+ (and most likely 5U) you can set music to be either stage music OR character themes (not both) alongside setting who/what got what song. There was even a trophy for doing that (first 5+ trophy I got too...)

I'm hoping (so far doesn't look like it) that you can set up to three songs per character.

As for Mila and Rig's songs, they are okay. Not what I expected for Mila but I've already had that rant and have learned to love it.

Setting themes to stages instead of characters would work out because you have the freedom to change stages and hear a different theme whenever you want whereas if you use character themes and you or your opponent are only using 1-2 characters you're going to hear the same couple of themes over and over again.

What would remedy this I keep saying would be at least 3 selectable songs for each character/stage, and have one of them play at random each match.

Out of curiosity, I remember in past DOA games sometimes in VS mode they would play one cahracter's theme, and then otehr times they would just play a random track. That would be really annoying in DOA5U. Hopefully the adhere to whatever setting you do, and make it the "Challenger's theme" (the person who lost last/P2 by default) whose music plays. Going in hand, I really wish in VS they would change it so the person who lost last picks the arena instead of always being P2, and let the winner/both select the after-match options rather than always P1. That shit annoys me.

Strange. I could have sworn that Mila's and Rig's themes were generally disliked when DOA5+ came out three months ago. Now all of sudden everyone likes them. Very strange.

Whatever, I still think they're shit, but hey, I never have to listen to them anyway.

I like Rig's theme. I like Mila's too but I think Rig's is better.

It's not a bad song, can't be any worse than what's already in DOA5 now.

THIS is a "song" you'll definitely want to unhear.


This makes the DOA5 lobby rap sound good.

Rig's theme is decent. It's not even in the ballpark with any of the DOA2/3 themes, but it's better than some DOA4 ones.

Assuming we get the full soundtracks from DOA2-4, what will you guys be assigning to each character? Particularly the Virtua Fighter characters who don't have themes in this game (We should be able to assume Rachel will get her own theme like Momiji).

Does anyone know if we'll be able to give VF characters themes? You weren't able to on the Vita version which is the only reason why I ask. I was stuck listening to the stage bgm when I versed one of them. :(

i'm not sure what to think of rachel's theme. it sounds cool in some areas, but just seems to be a bit all over the place.

i imagine she'll be getting a better "ultimate mix" version of her theme, like momiji.
